When you unpacking sids you must put the right decryption key for each language as en,fr,de,it.....
Maybe they don't know yet the decryption key for english.

Looks like the TL version is missing files, that's why it doesn't works. I'll have to redownload the Skidrow version.

Well it does have some advanced visuals but 20 - 40 FPS (4890 score which is what I use.) is a bit lower than expected (I can still play it at that though, haha.)
Still Stalker and Cryostasis had similar problems at release (Especially Clear Sky when they redid the engine with DX10.) so I guess it's somewhat of a trait.
(Was mentioned earlier in the thread, something about eastern European developers, heh.)

Hey JBeckman, did you downloaded the old TL relase by any chance? we're trying to see if it's missing data, because the crack from Skidrow doesn't work.

Nah I never got around to downloading the TL release, if it is missing files however I can send over the ones from the Skidrow file, should probably just be the binary folder, can't send the EXE as that would be a crack (Outside of PM's.) but the other files should be fine.
Will check the data directory as well, perhaps the date differs as with Steam files so just taking the newest ones might work.
(Patch.pak or similar obvious files as well.)
About 30% complete with downloading so it'll be 30 minutes or so until I can start unpacking it so it should be ready in a hour or so all in all hopefully.
EDIT: For crashes make sure drivers and DirectX are up to date, Skidrow usually rips that stuff from their "iso's" (homemade archives normally with a setup program.), for DirectX Feb 2010 from Microsofts website is the latest, for ATI 10.2 hotfix is the latest WHQL and 8.71 is the latest beta (10.3 2nd leaked driver, first is a bit earlier and called 8.71.3)
For NVIDIA the 196.86 drivers should be used, fixed that fan bug with 196.75 and has a Metro profile.
(SLI and performance in general and maybe bugfixes.)
Other obvious ones would be VC++ redists, 2005 SP1 ATL and 2008 SP1 ATL are the latest, both x86 and x64 variants are recommended although 64-bit is only for such programs.
EDIT: Could be crack related as well, would need a error message or something to go by though.

Damn I am on Win7 X64 with a 5850, so hopefully it doesn't crash for me too. :/
