The addon install will patch it to 1.03.

game uses exe from maingame .. ALLTHO i had to use the crack anyway, it wouldn't recognize my ORIGINAL DVD lol.
Anyway, played a bit (importing my old char, with all his godly items and some spare gold). Crashed right when i was starting to fight the first boss ...

ye i crashed shitloads of times too.. supposed cuz i used some mods.. and some of my gear is still moded.. even tho it all transfered just as it was.. so not sure if its due gear set or just shity crack.. could do with mini image.. original dao crashed bunch of times at release too..

Quick question because I don't feel like looking through the 180 pages of the original topic. Is there any point in installing the DLC again? I want to use my character from the original, but do I need the DLC for anything?
If so, how do I install the DLC manually? I forgot, and as I said, looking it up in the original topic seems like a real chore.

First run the patch 1.03 from the DVD iso. Then run the installer while the music from the razor keygen is playing

I instaled the game over a cracked 1.02 version... he updated with no probs and then installed. so i dont know if a orginal exe is helpfull. running on windows 7x86 if that helps.

same as you, though the installation gave that error....
maybe i need the original exe.... not sure.... seems weird though.... this is the first time i encounter such issue

A proper patch would require the original .exe (that is the patch is merely a diff file). While patches these days usually just replace the entire file if it's small like an executable. Diff patches are notorious for causing problems after all.

No, I don't think the exe is the problem. I've installed the patch 1.03 days ago with the crack and now I've installed the expansion without problems... (just played a few minutes, don't know about the crashes mentioned before, but the installation was fine)

Played a few minutes myself.I'll play more in the weekend when i'm of work.
The game runs fine. For those with the ''Installation Failed'' error read my post above.
PS> There's a lot of room in the ''Other Campaigns'' section. I think we'll have 3 or 4 more expansions/add-ons like this in 2010, maybe more.

same here, installation failed, all various shit did not work, and I see that reinstalling it didn't help someone here, so I don't know about trying that myself

Weird, for me it work. At first i received the error. I deleted some stuff after from the partition to have some more space, because it was really close the space that i had and the necessary space that i needed for the installation. Then i went in the patch folder to install the patch manually and after the patch completed i started the installer.
Didn't remove anything from DO.Not dlc's and not the save's.
Don't know what's the problem for you.
