well, it sucks that the servers keep going down, have they not heard of DNS Round robin for load balancing?
Any suspicious traffic just drop the packets and move on...
how tarded can ubi be?

Well everyone has their own ofc, mine are to download the game, then if it runs great on my pc and i love the story then ill go out and buy it (having a bookcase full of original games is more eyecandy then a HDD stuffed with iso's

That's what I believe too, but when I buy something I want to own it, not be dependent on remote servers with someone deciding when I should play and for how long.

That will proly happen in a year or something, plus natan, we live in 2010, everything is done over the internet so i dont really see the problem? :S

The server issue was only for new registered games tho? Not the ones that already had applyed the key to their account?

You have to log in each and every time you start the game, and you'll have to be connected to Ubisofts servers during gameplay since it phones home every 20 minutes or so. If the servers are down you won't be able to play, log in etc.. You may be able to log in but next check the servers may be down, the game will boot you.

So what exactly does it do for you to disable online saves, and how do you to it? I mean, does that mean you can start playing if you get a save past the animus bug?

If you get past the animus (wich is not a bug) you will then get the white screen the next time your client asks the game servers for more info
