Well, theoretically no, but it is best just to shut down Steam before playing. There is a steam_api.dll, which isn't used for much in the game (there is no Steamworks integration), and the loader supposedly covers all the functions needed from that DLL, but you never know.

Right, would be a shame losing all the games in the account because of forgotten hooks in the loader.

I get CTD whenever I join a game.. Ideas?
I installed Razor's Chaos Rising release, used the provided crack and than put the loader and ran the game from loader.exe. I signed in with my g4wl profile, entered a key which the game accepted and tried joining a match/last stand. The moment the game should show me the lobby I get CTD....

This is what I used to get without the files I posted on the the first post.  You sure you extracted all of them and overwrite the other files? This crash is because of the crack Razor did in steam_api.dll.

This is strange. I am using a loader and original EXE, and it works. Also some people have tried it and it works for them also... What kind of crash is it?

Running with loaders seems to work, while running through Steam makes it crash. I am not sure why exactly.
