so razor release is bugged when it comes to coop and mp? i get a crash report on both dow2 and addon when trying to play in coop or mp
the normal version of dow 2 works fine in mp and coop

In other words, use a revloader.

Enjoying this so far, played a few campaign missions but going to hold off and do it co-op style...
Played some Last Stand with the new Chaos hero, doppleganger is hilarious, especially with the upgrade, cloning the captain in wave 4 is epic!
He walks around and trashes the shit out of everyone, so awesome.

I finished the first DoW2 coop, and it was saying in the intro somethiing about 1 year later, but then about a planet lost for 1000 years or something. What has happened in the meantime, how much has it been since the ending of the first game ?

I'm not sure, but that planet is the story of this game. It appears from the warp and a distress signal is received, and you go to investigate.

As far as I understood it the story happens right after the end of DoW 2's campaign, just that 1000 years earlier this planet was swallowed by the so called "warp" and heavily altered.

Just beat Chaos Rising. Major Plot spoilers so read on your own terms.
 Spoiler: | Amazing expansion. Loved the storyline from beginning to end. To me learning about the deception from within the Blood Raven itself sent chills down my spine. I noticed improvement here and there every since they released it even in the main campaign.
Took me awhile but was a fun ride. Looks like there might be another expansion or sequel since the Blood Ravens now have to go after the Chapter Master! Another freaking Horus Heresy. |

I´ve got a question...
When I sign in with my LIVE account so that I can import my characters from the first game it asks for a CD key. Now if I just type in a random order of letters it says it can´t connect to the LIVE network because the key is wrong but it still signs me into my LIVE account. It´s just not online. My question is if I could get into trouble by doing this. I mean does it send the data to the LIVE server and they can see I´m using a cracked version?? I just want to use my LIVE account to import my character and not play online.

If you had any other Live game installed and went online at least once, then achievements received in this game will be updated to the MS database once you log in to Live in another game. But so what? It is like you installed your original game, but didn't put a code because you don't care for online.

If you had a key for the original game, it should work for this as well. It didn't even ask me for a code, it just worked.

I have the original DoW II on steam, but it seems wierd i have to download a 7 gig "expansion" - is this really true? Also does it need a key or can i maybe just use the razor release then?

It's standalone. You can't get this for legit version for free, but you can playthis online with any legit gfwl key and revloader.
oh sh...guess the game got a minor update and we need some new files.
Or not :] Still plays fine online

Oh well, my wallet says no at the moment.. and i really only get this game for the MP - But all you really miss with not having Chaos Rising is of course the chaos race and the campaign. Amazed by how much free content this game has given us.

Just use scene release with dow 2 key. It'll work just fine online. But you have to install all of it(7gb)
