LEGIT AC2 PLAYERS CONTINUALLY PROVOKE DDOS ATTACKS UPON UBISOFT'S NEWEST DRM PROTECTION SYSTEM.
It has been recently found that there were no hacker attacks upon Ubisoft's newest and draconian DRM protection systems. In fact, Ubisofts servers are continually attacked getting raped by legit purchasers trying to play the game legally.
"It's a shame", says an UbiSoft spokesman. "Not only we have to protect our servers from hackers and pirates, but we have also need to protect them from legit players trying to play the game they paid for..."
"What the f@ck are they thinking? We have their cd-key and personal data, since they logged with an Ubisoft account. We are already taking appropiate measures so that bunch of basterds get what they deserve. First we'll ban their accounts and delete their registered games so they cannot log on ever again, then we'll track their IP and call the police so they can be arrested and sued because of terrorism activity against our Company..."
Nice, legit players unable to play just because the game's protection-check connection somehow is considered as a DDOS attack.
LOL LOL LOL fucking bastards...fu.k ubi hard:)

Meantime in answer to some questions posted over the last page or so...
As I understand it the servers should be running properly now so if you're still having issues accessing the OSP please file a ticket with support.
While I cannot give details of the compensation plan I can confirm there are no plans to prematurely remove the DRM so please don't get your hopes up about this.

How come people are so annoyed about ubisofts drm while no one seems to cae about blizzard who basicly is doing the same thing?
If I understand corectly you will need to be online on batlenet 2 in order to play starcraft 2 both singleplayer and mplayer.

I haven't been following sc2 news so I don't know if you need to be connected for single player too, but if it was so, I think there would be less complaints, mainly for the staggering amount of loyalty Blizzard fans seems to have, I know many people that pirate everything BUT Blizzard games... don't know why 'cos I don't like rts/mmos so I never played their games, but let's be honest: with the fanbase they have, they could release "Warcraft Tetris" at 60 bucks and sell millions of copyes...

I think it's because those games are geared more towards the multiplayer aspect. Assassins Creed II is ONLY single player. There is no need to be online AT ALL except for the DRM.

Well true, some activation scheme and then being able to be offline would have been preferred though Avatar failed (Kinda, not really, it stopped the so called 0-day piracy and early sales loss along with homemade rips and copies.) so now they have this method justified instead.
(Wether piracy = lost sales is true is a different debate and as covered not all pirated copies are lost sales, in fact I doubt the majority would be, at least from how I see it.)

See? The thing with mplayer games is that there is this incentive for people to go buy the game after theyve finished the pirated version.
Singleplayer games have none so i can see why ubi is pissed off about it considering that most of their games are singleplayer

Avatar stopped the 0-day piracy; and how did it sell? I reckon the same awful numbers it would have sold even if it was pirated on 0-day.

To corporations like Ubisoft seeing lower initial piracy would seem more important than seeing overall higher sales over a period of time I guess, strange perhaps but that's the impression I get from all this.

The thing with avatar is that it WAS a horible game. Full of bugs and full of glitches.
Not only that but games based of movies are renowned to fail. There are very, VERY few games based on movies that are actually fun.
So all in all I think even ubisoft didnt expect avatar to sell that much
How ever their curent drm are making them loose even more sales
-People who don't have internet (obviously they wouldnt be posting here)
-People who refuse to buy and suport their drm
-People who dont have a decent internet connection
-People who don't want to pay 50 euros for a game as they belive it is a bit too much
Not only that but its also giving them very bad publicity

Yes, exactly, and this is exactly the reason why piracy is not the issue of low sales, but their crappy games.

Sure... They are crappy now. The same old story. How many kingdoms will the prince save ? How many random killings will be in AC ? Fisher is an old fart now. That's all they know. POP, AC and SC. We will see POP 100, AC 200 and SC: The Burial.

The original AC wasn't crappy, but it's not worth buying either. I didn't buy the original because I didn't finish it. It was fun for a little time, but then got boring.
But... Splinter Cell is not complete crap? Have you seen all the previews? Sexy panthers, etc?

Wait for Metro 2033 and Episodes from Liberty City and everyone will forget AC 2 even exists.

I can only talk for myself and i know ppl wont believe me but i am here read about the DRM and nothing else. I even refuse to pirate AC2. I did not like AC1, too consolish and if i really ever wanted to play titles like AC2 i go and get a cheap 360. Its just really sad to see that respected humps dont have a backbone at all and support that fascist drm. fmf out.

I have an account here since last year. Not everybody is a geek like you to know every gaming forum. I have 50$ to buy a game, you're not the only one on planet Earth who can afford a game. Or you are happy because mommy and daddy gave you money to buy AC2 and be a dumbass ? I refuse to take it up the ass, you took it gladly. Which one of us is the moron ?

1.This isn't a gaming forum it's a piracy gaming forum.
2.Your assumption that mommy and daddy gave him monney can work both ways, I can also assume that you didn't work for the monney but your grandma gave it to you as a presant.
3.You're the moron for not beeing able to remain civil on a forum. Have you seen any one else using your languege mister? What are you? 14? You need to use words like moron so you can feel a big man or something?
