Looks like it's going to be a good game, I just hope it lives up to the original.

Lazy bastards.

A straight port!? Fuck that shit, I thought the DoD team were getting paid by valve to make something good, rather then pulling another mediocre WW2 FPS out of their asses.

Ah well, back to red orchestra.

Lol, not only does Red Orchestra look better than DoD:S, but the gameplay is also much better. In DoD It's always a fucking wall, one side goes there, one side goes there and then they both wait for someone to walk around the corner so he'll get fucked by a dozen machine guns. I've played it so many many times it's always the same. Two lines...... 90% camping at their line and then just a few really take action but they get also get fucked 90% of the time. This is so fucking boring to me.

As said before i cant do any better, but those characters look like they were in lego land or some shit. Sad

They should scrap the idea of making it a 95% direct port and atleast make high poly characters. (The source engine is more than capable of handling it)

Then again its not even better, so i should have saved my rant Very Happy

This is BETA so dont judge the screenshots..its probably compress textures like it is in all beta games..you should see the GFX in Rainbow Six Lockdown i've seen when i tested it..it was fuckin horrible...and it was pre-gold testing...dont worry im pretty sure the game will look great for the final

Wow, DoD looks really bad. Lol, looks like the hands are made of wood, haha! You will never feel the real WW2 spirit with those graphics and that environments. I'll rather play Call of duty or Medal of honor: Pacific assault.

Yeah i know.
However first impressions will always be first impressions.

As a side to what you said, i do remember CSS being like this too, and now the visuals are atleast decent.
