Don't know if it's been posted here, or if it's even true:

We have bypassed the Ubisoft Launcher and you won't have to keep entering the cd key again and again. Even if you disconnect from the internet, the game will continue. And about the savegames; The Ubisoft server has only started working on March 5th. Only then we have been able to find out where the trigger files go to, their format and other vital information needed to make a working crack. A crack should be released the 5th, 6th or in the worst case scenario, the 7th of March."

You never know how much triggers you will come across and when and where.

Yeah there were similiar reports about Splinter Cell Chaos Theory but the crack was released 5 months later

Since it uses LIVE you'd think Microsoft could easily implement a CD-key system on the console as well and tie it to the users account, no key = not playable and if you are banned for some reason you also lose access, would prove pretty effective.
(They already do stuff to the machine so this isn't that far above such things, I guess MS doesn't particularly care though, more XBox units sold = more profit for them although the software publishers and developers who get pirated might complain a bit haha.)

Just wait and they will add same internet required protection to all XBOX (and all consoles) games. In the future will be internet everywhere imaginable, so why not? |
Maybe, they've been talking about tying a single copy to one user to prevent resale.
But in the end I doubt it because it all comes down to monies and the 'pc testing grounds' has failed, the bigger the protection the less the sales, the better the product the bigger the sales, less protection=better product, better product=more monies, if they piss off the console community like they did the pc community they can kiss the whole gaming industry goodbye and we are all back to small developing teams and low budget games. |
