Man this game was great for the first 2 levels of the marine campaign, all aliens-like and awesome. After that though, it takes a steep dive. Soon as I hit the jungle level I could see why everyone was disapointed. Then the combat droids appeared, like something out of FEAR. Fuck that, way to ruin a great start. I'm keeping my hopes up for the Research Lab level, so far the ruins part is just as bad as the jungle.

Is the marine campaign even worth completing? I'm up to the research lab now and the game TBH has turned to complete shit. Will these combat droids keep appearing? Am I missing out on anything if i just skip ahead to the other 2 campaigns?

Just started the predator campaign so far it seems pretty cool but i'm gonna need some practice at melee combat, the aliens are kicking my ass in that jungle. Landing those heavy blows is pretty hard.

Comments about competence would be more appropriately directed at whomever is responsible for developing it. It's been a common criticism of the game that playing as the Predator has a ridiculous learning curve in just controlling the character, especially using melee attacks...which are integral. Any game with such a troublesome control scheme isn't worth the time in my book.

That's the point, it's not a ridiculous learning curve. You have a full training tutorial on the moves and controls, then a further one on the first level and subsequent hints throughout the game. The control scheme for the predator is perfect. Even if it was difficult, disregarding a game becuase you actually have to master the controls is very foolish.

When installning the Razor version do I need to patch Steam to get it to install? I start the installer and then it starts Steam and asks for a serial... the same thing happens with Supreme Commander 2. Any help would be great, thanks.
