there's been arguments on the blizzard forums about only wow people getting let in. kinda obvious how that works out but still, at the same time it does make you wonder if they are choosing WoW players over people like me who have just opted in with only their SC key.

i know it seems stupid but think about it. they just might be more inclined to pick an opt in with an active WoW account over someone who doesn't have one. like looking out for their own.
it doesn't matter to me i just wish they'd send me a damn key already. all of these AI's that are out are too easy.

Both accounts got in.

At start of Beta I bought SC1 Anthology, and paid my WoW account (only 2 games I have)

I have every game possible on my account and I didn't get in so I don't think that has much of an influence on it.
Starcraft Anthology, Diablo 2, Diablo 2 LoD, WoW.
-edit: oops I obviously also have wc3 and wc3 tft on there. forgot those.

I think the game will be good, but I really think the gathering mechanics are very dated. I mean, you need like 30-34 units per base to harvest. I haven't really gotten to play much, but the unit detail is great. The graphics are not bad, but certainly not state of the art, as is expected with any Blizzard game. I'm sure it will be solid, the single player will be amazing, and no doubt it will get good reviews. I'll be playing quite a bit, but right now, I think DoW 2 will get more of my play time when the expansion comes out next week.

how are the gathering mechanics very dated?
I'm not really sure what you mean by that...
do you mean it's dated because it's not as simple as other games where all you need is one building and the gathering goes on by itself?
the gathering mechanics is one of the most important aspects of starcraft and allow it to seperate the very very good players from the very very very good players. I wouldn't have it any other way.
