How is the PSU? Although PSU problems manifest in shutting down or restarts, not hangups and lockups.

Demo time disable: Cracklock Wink Search google -> install and run

Add program, add Steam\steamapps\common\just cause 2 demo\JustCause2.exe
Configuration -> Alter Time and Freeze date/time (see pic)

That's all, run program! Wink

I'm downloading the demo via RS and just wanted to confirm will it work as a stand alone file or will it need Steam to work?

Still counts down normally for me - did you just run the Just Cause 2 Demo (with Cracklock) after putting the exe to the cracklock manager?

Edit: You can actually find the 10 sec 'out of demo area' timer with CE as well - if we could find a way to stop the 30 min timer, I bet the same method would work on the 10 second warning as well. Of course it'd probably just crash if you went too far (doubt they included the other area files in the demo) but you might get a bit further. Razz

Why not use Steam? Steam is amazing. I personally love it and have a lot of games on Steam. It's quite handy.

That 'technology' was just marketing hype as usual; unless they make some drastic changes for the full version, you can barely tell the difference.

Nothing physics related, CUDA calculations via the GPU, it can be used for physics as well (Like PhysX) but it has other purposes.

Unsure how slow it would be without support, perhaps someone can upload the settings file (It's coded in some way or packed or something.) from a NVIDIA machine with everything enabled as a test.
(Would be difficult with the resolution though.)

Ofcourse it's only a few different water algorithms and a sort of blur filter so it's nothing spectacular but it makes a interesting visual change.

20-30 FPS avarage maxed out at 1920x1200 on a GTX 280 coupled with a quad core AMD.

Insane settings though, everything enabled and maxed except for AA (4x). Looks phenomenal, especially for an open world game. Needless to say, I will lower the settings a little to gain better performance. Smile

I never looked at framerates but it seemed to be running over 30fps maxed out for me with the 280.

Didn't even make the cards fan spin up much witch has been happening alot with it off late.

Ignore what I said, it was the 196.75 Nvidia driver that caused the bad performance (and overheating problems for some). Went back to the 196.21 and performance is way better. Smile

196.75 has some critical issues it seems (Fan settings, that could potentially overheat the GPU depending on how severe it is).

I haven't updated the post in the NV driver thread with this yet, might do it later as it seems to be pretty well spread already.

Good performance too.

I also found a tank somewhere on the hill, 2 bad my game froze back then.
I had a vehicle attached to it lol, that grapling hook is great.

btw, Saints row would fit this engine perfectly.
