No offense, but in this day and age is seems like almost everything is cross platform on the PC *AND* 360.
Speaking of a lack of exclusives, what does the 360 have, 3 or 4 big AA exclusives tops? Halo: Reach? Alan Wake? Gears 3? I'll take Dragon Age 2, Diablo 3, The Witcher 2, StarCraft 2, and Steam any day over the few exclusives offered on an XBOX.

Excellent points Sir! It's what I've been saying all along. There's more than enough awesome games released for the PC. Do what I do; if it's a console only game just ignore it, forget about it and start following something else. It's what I do and it works excellent.

it all breaks down like this for me:
consoles offer convenience to a lot of people by being easy to use. No problems with virii, crashing games, driver upgrades and similar.
pcs offer a different kind of convenience to a lot of people. It is not exclusively for games and can do shitloads of other things. Tinkering is often necessary, but may also be a reason to like the platform.
And it is not even that binary a choice, because you can also have both or get your console fix via emulators.
And even though we may be able to grab all the games in the world for free from the seven seas of piracy, we cant play em all anyways. So missing out on some games on other platforms isnt the end of life as we know it, and i can also happily live with what the pc has to offer.

Gaming is better then ever, also pc gaming. there are less big budget pc exclusive titles, but games in general are better then in the past, and there are a lot of small devs making niche titles. The big games are more mainstreamed and less nerdy, but that the only thing that has changed.
