I bought a e74 console from ebay and sent it to MS for repair. I just got notice that MS has completed the repair and are shipping it back to me. Usually when I send the 360s in for repair, I get back a different console with different serial number. But this time, the serial number is the same. Any chance I could be getting the same one back?

Reason I ask is the one I sent had Benq which is easier to mod than the newer Liteons which require soldering and cutting.

Either way, they'll probably ship it back with a liteon regardless. That's their usual MO anyway when they ship the same console back.

But who knows, maybe they won't bother changing the drive now that all of the drives are hackable.

just wanted to let u all know I got my original box back with the Benq drive...just in time to flash the new LT for Benq Very Happy

and don't forget to dump the key first because if you got the same drive the key has been changed by ms
a friend of mine had the surprise to get the same drive, backup was working etc... But when he flashed with the new firmware, he did it with the old key and drive was unusable after that

well this is the first time I am opening it up, since I bought it broken from Ebay. I have to say flashing is such a breeze with these Benq drives.

Connect to power, open JF, run benq unlock, read ofw, load key to target, write cfw, outro, done.
