Someone with some time on hand should check these out in relation with using the default profile name as suggested above:
- When docked, you cant select the next mission (seems to be solved)
- When saving and loading in dock, the following weird things happen:
* interactable character names in the dock are missing, you only see placeholder, something like RANK TITLE NAME
* your sub starts submerged even though the watch crew is in the tower
* the ships in port get misplaced, sometimes onto the shore, resulting in lots of allied ships lost without good reason.
Those are the oddities i've encountered until now. Using cracked 1.1 with german voice and a custom profile name.
As for charging the batteries, from what i've seen it works like it did in SH3. They are automatically charged whenever you are running on disel engines.

I read there are few bugs left over in sh5 from sh3.... sometimes one has to wonder.

Yeah I found out after the tutorial mission I should speak to the caption guys but I can't lol, though I've set the default name in the beginning.

by running diesel engines on surface... the germans were mainly on the surface anyhow, they tended to go below more in dangerous air covered waters in daytime for short periods, then attack at night on the surface.. |

yes right parabolica i tried it again a new campaign 6 time lol and now it works i can select between 2 missions.

everything worked fine for me (so far) after i started a new campaign using the default captain name. sorry you are having issues on your end. |

I see that on the right side on the mission you have the 'Start Mission' button but I don't have that one, I always launch the game via SH.exe... MAybe I dhould gice the ubi launcher a go from what I've read in the AC2 channel.

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts open with editor and enter 127.0.0.1 followed by the address the ubi launcher wants to contact. Restart pc.

It seems the captain name is not relevant here. I started a new campaign with custom name and skipped the tutorial part and i could go on. However the game crashed when i reached the first mission area (atlantic hunt).
