seems legit i think.... apparently they know how to fix saves but don't wanna tell us ???!?
because they have no idea how.
Yeah that's hardcore gaming the PC wanted. It's even more then PC hardcore it's C64 or SNES hardcore. You know like Contra - no saves - one sitting to beat whole game!
Ill host server from my moms laptop and play on pc if i need to but they should make the saves work. Its nice start by the way.And after 2-3 days when the scene gets into the game they will destroy the protection fast
I don“t interested in the game, just see how the UBI %$## get cracked !
seems like quite a procedure for crack it hehe.... historic for sure! they said is like an alpha crack.. the good thing is there are people out there that are burning their keyboards to beat UBI !! that is good!
ps: I can imagine UBI employees checking also this HOLY FORUMS (hi!) this is a battle for sure...

Hahah old times i remember how i played Island(game similar to Mario)for 8-9 hours for a day in order to beat it but it was too hard for me anyways
be sure that there are many more hackers/crackers/coders not working for ubi that have the same knowledge and skills opposite to those working for them who made the protection...
so basically it's only a matter of time 'til a crack is out and working...

sure thing but the only question is how many time.Ive waited too long still can wait another 10-15 days but....
The forum should have an automated reply function for threads like these. We could choose a standard reply like "shit will be cracked", "were iz da krak" or "ubisoft blabla" and click post reply. Should make things easier.
I think the staff should close this topic until street release(so that some people, including myself, may voice opinion on the retail and how it works etc), this thread is just a spam fest now.

how about we wine 'til the 100th page about not being cracked and only if it's not cracked until then - close it...
There's a torrent on the Pbay, by somekinda [[CAfEmulat0R Team]]] group.

"I have uploaded it.
And no it is not fake.
This is using old fashion server emulation.
This might/will cause crashes because of possible wrong packet extraction via packet injecting and reverse engineering."
"I can not put the crack seperatly because my co-worker did edit some files in setup, so please keep in mind that this is a very big pre-alpha crack. It will cause crashes!"

MIGHT NOT WORK IF YOU ARE HOSTING THE EMULATOR ON THE SAME HOST AS YOUR CLIENT! RECOMMENDED TO ASK YOUR FRIENDS TO HOST THE SERVER! Go to your hosts files and redirect the following ip's to the emulator host

Can someone explain why exactly saves don't work? As far as I understand, Ubi's FAQ said that they are stored both locally and online. I thought the main problem was actually launching the game.
The way I heard it, before a save can be made, it has to verified through the Ubi server. It uses a similar system to cd-key checking in MP games.
Edit: this actually got me thinking. If the game has no capability of generating a save (in it's physical form) on its own from the local code, and it's only the Ubi servers that can do that, the system could very well be uncrackable (in a realistic and practical sense, everything can be cracked with enough effort obviously). But it's likely this is not the case, since console versions have save capability on its own, and this is still a console port.
