Keep in mind that the dedi servers is open beta so there will be bugs and not that many servers.

Problem is second patch out and still no proper rls from Razor to update the game solving the sound and DX11 problems.

you can use the first update files and modified exe and the steamup method and it works fine ... there will be a solution for the 2nd update in no time i think.

The main reason why it's called a PROPER crack is that you don't need do be connected and logged in to steam.
I sure hope so man...haven't touched the game. Still waiting for a updated release. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Rebellion have now released their dedicated server beta software, allowing PC gamers to choose how they want to play and giving them control over some of the game's settings:
The dedicated server will be available via the “tools” tab of the Steam client. If you already have a copy of the full game installed, it will simply add the dedicated server executable to the install folder. If you do not have the full game installed, it will need to download approximately 15GB of data.
One install is required per machine, and multiple instances of the server executable can be run simultaneously – the server currently requires the Steam client to be running, only one steam client/log on is required per machine regardless of the amount of instances you run, and the Steam account used to log on does not need to own a copy of the full game. Please refer to the dedicated server readme for more information and help, in particular the known issues section. A server command guide is also available in the installation folder.

Are those updated STEAM files from the new patch (#2)? Do you just copy them over and game still runs fine? (I'm using SteamUp method with the previous patch files currently)
Also what are the NCF files?

Yes i did together with steamup to start the game.

Are you playing MP as well? Also where did you copy the files? To a standalone AvP installation folder or to an installation in steamapps/common/etc..??

Yes , but you need the same steamapi file as the other mp users so you can see eachother.
Have them stored in steam and start the game using the zero gear method. And as most people didn't use the updated files i change them to the non-patched version ( when playing mp ) so i can find enough players, however the updated version does work in mp mode.

Thanks that clears it up a bit, but where's this non-patched version you speak of? You have 2 game installations or what? You move the updated files back and forth? Can you be more specific?
