I didn't need this patch btw, game works flawless. Guess you've got an ATI card, dont you?

Imho it's quite easy with those Reloaded releases. Simple copy, paste and overwrite. There you go.

Offended? How? As for arguing what arguing? I've had zero issues with Borderlands and yes I have an ATI card but what does that have to do with anything? All I said was that using Reloadeds build you cannot use another release for say a new patch to fix the scaling issues in 1.3.

I will never understand people like you. All I did was mention a clean way of patching the game and whilst Reloaded's methods may work they are not full proof for future patches they may or may not release (Like they haven't in the past). If we were having an argument I'd win hands down but were not I simply supplied an alternative and explained why it may be better depending on certain factors.

Funny how we suddenly becomes me isn't it? There are those of us who do play online so broken patching could very well be an issue. If all you do is play LAN then it's fine but you might miss out on the latest bug fixes.

And I'm not complaining about something I didn't paid a cent for, you know?

To reiterate a point I am using Reloaded's release for DLC3 as explained earlier it works perfectly. No complaints.

I'm with you Kyorisu, I have RZR's install and only use RLD's DLC1 & DLC3. When 1.21 came out there was too much hassle with RLD cos it does work 100% for everyone including me. Dunno what the issue was exactly - possibly a windows 7 problem but in any case I pulled the whole lot out and only used Reloaded's DLC1. I'd be surprised if RZR don't proper this or at least the exe cos the RLD 1.30 cracked exe is NOT a retail crack. It doesn't work for me at all. Their DLC3 is ok just like the DLC1 (but without the RLD patches of course) but I'm running with mini-image at the moment. And personally for me the game isn't worth that much without multiplayer. With RZR's release I was able to patch up to 1.30 and play online without even having to wait for the new crack.

Yes, 1.3 came with Knoxx. The game now does a legitimacy check on all equipment. You can still create your own weapons, as long as they're inside the legit bounds. You can't for example have an Atlas material with Maliwan parts. It was for the sake of saving multiplayer.

No really what I meant was the fact that people whine about it now working, when in effect its perfectly fine, and running good. Its just those few broke it by altering the game some way so its not going to be working as its meant to be working Very Happy

kinda suck it up u know ? Very Happy

It'd be great if they made it so the legitimacy check is only for online games. It was fun playing around making your own weapons for sp and with friends.

It's cool as even after you "finish" the DLC there is still plenty to do. There are some more quests that don't get added until after you finish.

I agree with that other guy though. On playthrough one it's too easy. Playthrough two, it's too hard (for my level 47).

I'm a bit bored right now, so i decided to replay borderlands again. This time getting through the 3 dlcs. In the last released dlc of reloaded they state that the last 1.3 patch is included in the release package. Is it the same with the other two dlcs packs? Do they include their 1.1 and 1.2 patches respectively as well?

All of RLD's extras for the game.

http://www.nfohump.com/nfos/shownfoblack.php?nfoid=143774

RLD's DLC3 should in theory have 1.3 patched so only the other 2 DLCs are needed as well. I think I read in this thread that someone has installed RLD Borderlands with just the DLC 1, 2 & 3 packages as well.

i.e. As long as your game is RLD then the 3 DLCs ahould be all you need - their 1.0.1 patch shouldn't be necessary (afaik).

Oh shit. thats exactly my Hunter´s level, too. That means... leveling up before starting the third DLC, does it? Zombie Island on second playthrough was hard, too, but finally possible...

Well, I hope this DLC is worth it... Rolling Eyes

And you would be wrong. You might want to have greater than 50 for playthrough 2 to make it easier but you certainly don't have to. And 50 would be way too easy for playthrough 1 as most of the bad guys are in the low to mid 30's with a few at 50.

Any ideas on which class is the most fun to play or does it not really matter that much in the long run?

I find it weird that they don't explain the class skills before you pick a character (probably in the manual Smile)

That's right. You just need the main game release and the 3 DLC packages.

1. Install Borderlands-RELOADED (no need to c&p the crack)
2. Copy&paste (and overwrite existing files) content of Borderlands.The.Zombie.Island.of.Dr.Ned.DLC-RELOADED
3. " of Borderlands.Mad.Moxxis.Underdome.Riot.DLC-RELOADED
4. " of Borderlands.The.Secret.Armory.of.General.Knoxx.DLC-RELOADED
5. Play the game.

By the way, level 61 is not the max. Well, sortof. It may be the max for players but it's definitely not the max for bad guys Smile

The mission title for Crawmerax is "You. Will. Die."

Crawmerax the Invincible is level 64 (on playthrough *1*). I think all it's cronies are level 61. At least the two or three I saw before I was unceremoniously booted off the cliff (both times) were.

Level 64 on playtrough 2 as well, tough guy but can drop the best gear in the game.
(All boss enemies can drop specific items though so doing them several times is recommended.)

I completed game without DLCs as Roland / Soldier, didn't like the way rifles work - constant mouse clicking and shotguns were to slow even with class mod. So, I played against my build and used mostly SMGs, Revolvers and Rocket Launchers.

Played again as Lilith / Siren till around char level 15. Very weak at the beginning, but later enemies suffer constant elemental fatalities, fun Smile But eventually I got bored of ablaze running christmas trees and exploding electrocuted brains.

Haven't tried playing as Brick yet.

Now I am playing with all three DLCs as a Mordecai / Hunter and find it the most fun class to play as.

With maxed Gun Crazy, Riotous Remedy, Hair Trigger and Relentless of Gunslinger Tree character plays as a crazy pistols blazing mofo from John Woo movies Very Happy I love the reloading anim of long clip repeaters, looks so cool Smile
