Different servers probably, I'm on the Swedish one (Obviously.) they do have quite a few or atleast I think they do.
(Same with their own EA store page and much else.)
VPN or proxy the game could work though, unsure how well but perhaps it's doable.
ure obviously at your ease flying a choppa with keys and a rat, right?
Have you played any of the early Battlefield games? This is a dream compared to the old days. Oh....and btw if you really want to control a choppa, plain etc buy yourself a fuckin' joystick.
FPS=Mouse + Keyboard
SIM or vehicle related stuff= Well, Joystick and other dedicated peripherials
Yes....I do believe a gamepad controler is shit for anything other than platform games (God of War, Prince of Persia etc.).
Does anyone else have feeling that even when its 45-55 fps the game feels really stuttering ? With v sync on 60fps smooth but drops to 50 and its noticeable much
Yes I'm getting this stuttering also, no matter what graphic setting I try.
Using an intel q9550, ati 4870/512, 1066mhz DDR2 RAM, realtek motherboard audio, Vista at 1920x1200. Anyone have a fix for this please??

I see. Me and a few friends had kinda awful performance in beta with our dual cores ranging between 5000-6000+ and high end cards(XFX 8800GT, 8800GTS etc.). Guess it's different for each PC.
That wasn't due to the CPU, but rather the GPU. I'm sorry bud, but 8800GT and 8800GTS are definitely not high-end, they're barely mid-range these days :\ BC2 is a very GPU intensive game, so if you want smoother gameplay at decent settings.. you're going to need something with a bit more bite.
That's not very helpful information because he could be playing at low resolution. An 8800GT is probably more than enough for 1152x864 or 1280x720 with no AA and at medium settings.

Q6600@3GHz, 8800GT (FW 196.34 64bit), 8GB DDR2. Smooth gameplay in both beta and retail at 1080p, averaging 50fps, no stuttering noticed. Using this config:
AA is not useless at 1080p. Bloom had no impact on my performance actually, although many seem to find it beneficial to disable it.
And maps are varied enough in MP, not just jungle maps.

I've already said why this happens earlier in the thread but I guess I'll say it again.
This issue was already rooted out in the beta, it was also fixed. The problem was only noticable on machines where the CPU was much faster than the GPU, causing it to que up too many frames. They limited the number of frames it could que up and the problem was solved. The fix did not make it onto the retail disc though and will be in the 0-day patch.
