The second level is probably the only one with such a heavy whiteout effect. You could mess around with ingame brightness/contrast settings to get a better result.

Short SP time for shooters are common now.
The gameplay designer for BC2 said that he knows the position of every enemy on every map, and still he can't run through it in 6 hours... So you all lie!!!!

well just coz he sucks at his own game doesn't mean we do too Laughing
pretty sure it was about 6 or even less

fact is that this game doesn't even has stats so u can really see how long did u played is probably coz they wanted to hide the actual time of sp compaign

yeah that part had scripted stench of cod, which was rather annoying
the whole emp thing was also from cod6, loox like someone lacks in originality yet mocking heartbeat sensors Cool Face

(basically as Mortibus said; My Documents\BFBC2)

I've been having an absolutely amazing time with this, truly a spectacular game. Absolutely zero issues so far, everything working gloriously (and running sweet too, for such a beautiful game; Max everything, 4xAA, HBAO; 45-60fps) I LOVED the jeep chase mission, chasing that satellite, I just wish it'd lasted longer Sad

didn't liked it , the first part had that something that made you say "Its not another boring FPS" and that was "Fun Factor" ... flying in a solid gold heli , being cased by 4 tanks in a go-card on a golf field ,it was the first fps that didn't took itself seriously

but now it looks like another boring Fps that would like to be the next MW2

fail

Nice screens.

Man, I'm itching for my preorder to arrive so I can get stuck into multiplayer. I hope GAME.co.uk get it to me at least a day early.

Anyone else have the non-audible dialogue? Sound effects and music's fine, but I can't hear anything of the dialogue.

The single player borrows a lot from MW2, that's true. Although MW2 stuck so many cliched actions sequences together in no particular order, that it's now hard to make a game about modern warfare without it having something similar to CoD. I am hoping for MoH to have at least a more coherent storyline, it will already be a better game.

But when it comes to MP, and that is what BF is really about, it's very different form MW2 for me. I haven't played MW2 once since the BC2 beta has started and I can't say I miss it.

AA=1 means AA is disabled.

Didn't have any noticeable flickering on Ati with 10.2 Catalyst drivers - 4xAA.
There is a known issue with flickering when using crossfire which should be fixed in a patch.

When I installed and first started playing, I was still at 9.12 drivers - got the flicker on the weapon and misc. surfaces (windows and such) only after dying once. Oddly enough even after changing to 10.2 the issue was still there on that old save, but after I restarted from last checkpoint I haven't seen it since. Go figure.

That is odd. I have 5870, so hardware wise there shouldn't be any practical difference.
Do you have any options forced in the Catalyst control panel?

Edit: you might try to delete BC2 config files and saves, to start over. Unless you are pretty far in the game.

considering what fail MW2 was (mw1 and even waw had better single and multi experience) i don't really understand you. Now either you are the last alive MW2 fanboy here and just well.. fanboy rant or you have some really weird taste or perhaps didn't played the same game lol ...

The "black squares" on ATI appears to be when using either adaptive AA or a AA filter like edge detect, probably the former although it could be the latter one as well, depends a bit.
(Shader conflict, happened in Red Faction as well, in that game was due to SSAO and Edge Detect filtering when using 4x AA so if you have that enabled try 2x AA.)

HAH! I just try AA 8x and still OK!!! Only AA 4x is making this squares.
AA 1 ( OFF ) and 8 is OK ! So 4x is broken
