According to the devs, there are more optimizations in the retail, even compared to the patched beta.
Also according to the devs, FOV mod will be released in day1 patch or soon after.
Too bad we can't test MP performance at the moment, it should differ from SP.

Anyone having problems with mouse support? Cant look up or down, only left to right.
Removed my gamepad, tried changing Mouse axis, but nothing.
*edit*
I was stupid enough to not copy the text files, works now.

Performs better than the beta for me - very smooth, but it's also SP portion, so can't compare really.
In any case, running all high, 1080p with 4xAA and 16xAF with HBAO on. Didn't notice any performance problems.
Some thoughts on gameplay so far:
It is open ended enough, it's not Crysis, but you are given options. Destructive environments really add to that. Wanna get a higher ground, blow up a wall in a building, climb the stairs, shoot out of a window or blow another hole where you see fit. Or just cut through the buildings to find a better way to your objective.
At some points there will be crossroads. At first I was confused, since you move forward but your squad stays behind, I thought it was some kind of a bug, Actually it lets you choose the way to advance - if you go far enough your squad will follow. The difference between two routes is quite small (not like Gears of War), but yet different enough - the first attempt didn't work out, try another route.
On the downside, your squad doesn't always follow you on your more creative attacks during the battle itself, but generally sticks to the main path. You can feel somewhat alone if you go off far enough.
Overall it's great. Gameplay, graphics and especially sound is awesome. Can't wait for the MP.

F*ck the mouse! Its 2010.. use a 360 pad. Can't understand how ppl could still use this 30+ years old technology. You can't even play from couch with that crap! Listen to Microsoft - go xbox pad! Y-axis is carebear noobcrap anyway... real hardc0re roxx0rs only need one axis to rule them all!!1
Anyway, no problems here on XP. Performance and Input all work as it should...

i got a transge performance issue :
when i first play the game works fine but when i die and i load the last save the game become very very laggy !!!!!
anyone has this problem too ?
i got a core i7 860 and a hd 4870 with win 7

Just tried and works for me. Savegame is a .bin file, maybe your AV is blocking?

What the hell is up with the mouse control in this game. Its like there are two choices, Opiate mode and Amphetamine mode, neither are useful.

Yes. Default setting is like looking around in slow motion, not actual game lag, just mouse lag and trying to adjust the sensetivity makes the mouse twitchy. Turning on acceleration seems to do nothng.

Are you serious??? Really hope not... FPS with a 360 or any other similar controller is miles away from the precision and speed of mouse... Controllers are only useful in RPGs ( some not all ) and sports games.
On topic. Its sad to see that most review sites are such big fanboys of 360 and PS that they dont even mention anything of the PC version and its benefits and also many compare this too much with MW2 and in their mind MW2 is still better... Like really. Whats going on with those sites??? Are their heads so deep up their asses that they cant see how much better this game is? The BETA already blew MW2 out of the water...
