Hi All! Another question, I got given a BFG GTX 280 1gb card but I've only got a 550 watt power supply, Ive added up all my hardware on Power Supply Calculators and its added up to 383 to 400watt, now is this true or do I need more juice? Thanks in advanced!

The GFX card is a BFGR GTX 290 1024 OCE and the Power Supply is a Hiper Type m 530Watt. I like bum.

You should be ok. I ran my gtx280 in a overclocked c2d system with a old ass jeantech 600w unit for months no problems atall. Corsair 750D :: 750W DPS-G:: Asus x370 PRO :: R7 1800X ::16gb DDR4 :: GTX 1070::525gb SSD::Coolermaster 240MM AIO::

Aren't Hiper PSU's dangerous for your hardware? heard about them damaging them after being used for some time, might be rumors though. sorry for hijacking the thread

I had a hiper type M for years. only thing it damaged was itself, lol.

Well that GFX card isnt working, got a red light at the back of it but computer wont boot nor will the fan on the gfx card I like bum.
