Quote: | The cut-scenes are breathtaking, the scale and scope unrivaled and the in-game action, where it really counts, is pretty much perfect. Square have nailed the combat, the on-foot movement is sharp and the game engine graphics, whilst obviously not quite up to the pre-rendered FMV, are excellent and merge into the footage seamlessly. Oh, and there’s practically no load times too, and no install. Hear that? Amazing.

Quote: | First off, the game looks absolutely incredible. Breathtaking. If you have a large HDTV and you want to make the most of it, this is the game for you. And I'm not just talking cutscenes - one section shown to us featured the controlled character walking around a huge plain, while in the distance a huge dinosaur type creature grazed. I don't think I'd be exaggerating to say the experience was something close to watching Jurassic Park.
Swivelling the camera around also showed the incredible detail they've managed even during regular gameplay. These are some of the most advanced facial representations I've seen, and you can pick out individual hairs and the shine on the buttons on their jackets. I'm going to stick my neck out and say that, once released, FFXIII will be graphically superior to any other game available on this generation of consoles. |

Actually... that's a good point :\ I hadn't thought of that (Star Ocean also uses 16GB+) so yeah... why is there a news article about it, and why do I care?
Install DVD1. Play. Get to disk swap juncture. Quit. Delete. Install DVD2. Play.

Yeah all my multi disk 360 games so far have allowed me to install just one disk at a time on the hdd and booted np.
On another note: FF13 WHERE THE EFF ARE YOU, the drip drip of users obtaining the game is pure torture.

HOLY MARY MOTHER OF GOD! 18.3GB installed!! |
Stupid, pointless article. Just install disc1, finish it, delete, install disc2, continue.

disagree. install disk 1 and 2 at the same time. when you hit disk 2 you dont want to fuck around for 10 minutes waiting for install

cool, cheers.
40 for story alone sounds good. Think Lost Odyssey took me about 40-50 hours total, would have wandered about too during that time.
Looking forward to this one.

This.
Plus the constant updates in this thread just make us all cranky when we realise it's not release info, but yet another "ZOMG!! Another person on MGC has it!" *sniffle*
