It's like a expansion more linear where you follow Napoleon. Much like the Alexander expansion to Rome TW. It's like a history lesson where you got to play the big battles.

I do heard that what makes it stand out are multiplayer which they added alot to from the original Empire TW. One thing I like is that you'll be able to jump into one of your friends already started campaign and get to take command of some of his troops in battlefield. Kind of like a co-op-way to play Empire, there was alot of other things added too. So it might be worth it for the multiplayer or if you're really into Napoleon.

i doubt they are included as they are steam codes that have to be activated -BUT as with most other PC game DLC, give it some time and they will start to pop up.

they are for both single player and multi.

Kind of sad that I can download the pirated version right now and play, but my preordered steam version is unlocked on the 26th with no preload available. Good job Sega.

yup.. no sli support. just tested.. there are no profiles either.. no new drivers.. oh the glory of sega releases... empire had no sli for good 2 months.. there was such outrage.. and again no sli support.. for one of most demanding pc games?

Oh I get it, I just don't get why they did it as opposed to make it a DLC, like say warpath or Road to INdependence. Stoopid to me really, They lie for a year about what they are going to put in Empire then Release Napolean, Fucking Tollz, fix the 1st game 1st, and make it DLC asshats

theirs dlc is 12 units for 5 bucks.. do you actually expect them release something this big as actual dlc instead of full game..

Atleast Crossfire is working nicely, 95% load on both GPU´s, playing on everything at Ultra settings + 1080p resolution and 4xaa / 16Af, never drops below 30fps :> Runs very good considering how much shit there is onscreen Very Happy "finally" game that runs great on Ati lately

judging by the total war forums

This game shits all over empire in terms of AI/Campaign AI/Graphics/Multiplayer

About to have a shower and then go down to pick the game up.

I can see the warez version being a pain in the ass for future updates and dlc (just like the first)

Better. It's a lot smoother than empire on my system with the latest nvidia beta drivers.

Well CA Australia did Empire and Napoleon. So I imagine that's why it's exclusive to Australia.

Wrong!

CA AUS did Med 2, CA UK started work on Empire as soon as Barbarian Invasion hit the shelves.

CA AUS aren't even a part of the company any more. (from the Yuku forums)
Quote:
Dionysius the Mighty wrote: CA doesn't have an Australian office any more. They went their own way after M2TW and are now an independent developer studio in their own right....

Yes, they went their own way and developed Stormrise. Since then they have become an independent developer. That has been confirmed by CA staff members multiple times on these very forums.

Well, CA have said themselves that the Australian office isn't part of the company any more. I'd take that up with whoever's in charge of CA's website.

btw first impressions of the game

AWESOME ... im going throu teh story mode atm (you have to finish it to unlock the full grand open campaign to play as france i think)

its VERY polished .. everything seems better than the first... the music.. the sound.. the voice acting.. the campaign map.. the graphics.. the options (eg proper diplomatic options.. eg ask someone to join your war etc)

The map is smaller (no india, americas) .. but there are alot more provinces

Wow the drop in battle feature is awesome..

Full campaign.. but if you want before each battle you can hit the drop in button.. and it will either choose a random over the net to play the enemy for you.. or you can select a friend to do it.

I just got dicked... (granted i playing on vh/vh) ..

They actually lined up infront fire.... see when they are wavering.. then charge.. etcc.... there was a small break in my line which they fully took advantage of.. and sent cav around my weaker side..

lol lost Napoleon on my first battle Razz
