How come half of the xvids/divx avis that I burn dont play on the PS3? :/ Also, the ones that do, 5/10 of them are out of sync. I have wasted countless disks trying different versions but no avail Sad anyone know whats wrong?

I know when I convert xvids to the PSP that you need to specify the frame rate otherwise chances are it'll be out of sync. Suppose it depends on the app and the app's settings - but that could be one reason for the audio.

did you check the audio on the ones that didn't work (maybe some have mp3, other ac3 or dts)? some dvd players have problems with high bitrate xvids, or any of those options like qpel, gmc etc.

Why not just pop the xvids onto a USB stick rather than wasting DVDs? If you do, mind and create the folder structure the PS3 expects.

E.g @ root of device:

MUSIC
PICTURE
PS3
PS3 ---> EXPORT
PS3 ---> EXPORT ---> BACKUP
PS3 ---> EXPORT ---> PSV
PS3 ---> SAVEDATA
PS3 ---> THEME
PS3 ---> UPDATE
VIDEO

seriously, you can get an 8gb stick for like $20. Not like there is any point in actually keeping a crap quality xvid anyways.
