If you would read two pages back, you'd figure there is no solution yet. We're pretty much doomed to wait for a cracked update. By the way, besides audio diaries, it also skips dialogues and music.

I don't necessarily agree with everything I say.

Actually there is for quite some time now. For Windows 7 go to Control Panel > Sound > Playback Devices > Properties on Speakers > Advanced, click the drop down arrow and reduce bitrate to lowest (16 bit, 44100hz CD Quality )

It worked for me and three of my friends with missing sounds issue.

EDIT
ooops it has been discused here and not working for everybody but like I said it works for most people so it's worth trying. I also couldn't get audio diaries to play and all npcs were completely mute and with above trick it works flawlessly.

Well, there is actually one guaranteed and harsh solution - play using DX11. Sound issues there are non-existant, though it stutters like hell, for me at least it's completely unplayable. Unless you actually play in DX11, which would explain. In addition to that, if those solutions indeed help some people in DX9, also try and disable sound enhancements.

Has anyone tried Reloaded crack? Does it also have missing sound? BTW, I have Realtek sound, Win7 32bit. Tried everything, waiting for that proper crack\patch...

If you ask me then through avp.exe bytepatch. But I cannot find any FOV number references. Could you try?

DX11 is fubar for retail as well. It lags and stutters, even though it shows getting like 65+ FPS. the solution is to play in DX9 mode right now until it's fixed. I don't know about the razor release, but retail is messed up, so it would not be surprising if any cracked version is jacked as well.

I assume he meant that razor's DX11.exe is fucked up and crashes more than reloaded one, particularly when using flashlight. I don't mind if the patched DX11 is jacked, if sounds do work properly in DX9, that's all we need!

Nice, thanks, when they come out I'm going to wait and see how popular it is and then I might buy it, it's pretty cheap at g2play. ^^ I'd never buy it for full price but if the dedis make it popular I could buy it for a reduced price. It is a fun casual mp game after all.

It's not cheap at g2play indeed.

This price you can say cheap: http://www.zavvi.com/games/platforms/pc/aliens-vs-predator/10051955.html?switchcurrency=EUR

Seems that the only way to get rid of the annoying stuttering is to lower the textures setting to Normal...unfortunately the game now looks extremely

Get more VRAM then.

Play the game just fine with my 1GB 4890.

It's not a VRAM problem (have a 4870 1gb) but a DRAM one: I've just discovered that the game uses approximately 1.5GB of memory, and my 2GB of system memory simply can't handle it Wink
