im debating about picking up an x360 from game.co.uk and modding it myself, i have modded about 50 or so wiis and am wondering if modding/flashing can be done on ANY and ALL x360s, or do i have to check for a certain serial number on the console package? as this will be the first time i will have modded a 360, any pointers you guys can give me?

I think all drives can be flashed but some Liteons are a lot harder to do than other drives, you can't simply flash them and you have to mess around with the PCB. There isn't a way to find out what drive the 360 has without opening the box and even then you won't be able to tell the exact drive without opening the console.

If you are ok with soldering, you shouldn't have any problems.

Better wait for someone else to comment on this though.

Also, the chances of you getting banned are very high. So, dont believe you will be able to play online.

ill never be using it online... im damn sure im not going to pay £30 a year for a peer to peer MP system.
i know all about them banning consoles, but any i get will never be online
