ok started the marine campaign... its probably just me, but the aiming feels kinda sloppy... its not as crisp as pc fps games thats for sure.. atmosphere is good though. ever since aliens, that 'blip... blip... blip...' tracker sound, gets my vote as one of the chilling sounds ever created.... just a pity that whoever wrote the dialog for this game seems to have been determined to rip off aliens as much as possible, its almost painful.... oh man, and that jewish chicks voice is seriously going to drive me insane.
hmm. perhaps the predator campaign will be good at least? |
man buy yourself a new computer. also if the install took ages then you probably use old shitty hdds. buy flash drive. also you probably have only one gfx card, get 3.

I tried, the dx11 menu messed up, can not set the AA and Shadow , the rolling bar didn't move

The new features like Motion Blur and advanced DX11 options don't work. So we need a new crack. |

i wouldnt call it unwatchable... and given that the game is pretty ho-hum, its not something i really care enough about to stress over... in other words, quality watchable, game not good enough to care that its not as high a res as the originals. obviously its going to look less crisp on higher resolutions.

It's even worse as in the demo. I get "stealthkilled" (the ones from behind / onehit kills) from the fucking front! How is that? Yeah, I've bought the original game and it works fine in MP. But I'm playing with two friends the cracked version atm because they don't bought it yet.
And yes, there is a server browser. But not for ranked matches atm.

First, all the links are posted on the last two pages.
Second, I don't have any problems with the game. The cracked and my retail version are working fine on my rig.
And yes, it was worth buying it all along. I like this game. I had my blast with the SP and even more with the MP (except the cracked MP, damn easterns).

Rebellion uses the same options ".PRF" format for options and savegames like they used in 1999 AVP game. Its some custom messed uneditable format. And, no, you cannot edit it.
Hey fuck I got an idea!!! There was an editor for AVP savegames back in nineties. I think it may be in fileplanet.com. Perhaps the format hasnt changed much, but I doubt. So perhaps the manipulation of options like motion blur and mouse lag may be possible until the crack for the patch #2 is out.

its messed up, yes, but mp and sp working fine. unless youre not one of those with this mysterious and crazy problems, you shouldnt care.

I've got a q6600 @ 3.0 GHz, 8GB ram, GTX 275 896MB and run the game at 1920x1080, high textures, medium shadows, 2xAF and I get about 60 FPS. I really don't notice much if any jaggies or lag (other than the normal occasional host issues due to P2P networking). I bought the game and have only played online, but so far, it's a shitload of fun. It is tough and can be frustrating because it is so hard to master, but it's a nice change of pace from other shooters. It's especially fun as the alien when you sneak up on people or hide on the ceilings in the shadows and get the jump on them. The predator is very powerful, but extremely hard to be proficient with, even with weapons. It's not 100% balanced, but overall it's good fun. Hopefully dedicated servers make it in today or early next week. It's a lot better than the 5.5 that Gaysspot gave it.
