Me 2. Can't play like this. Second Marine mission is missing almost every speech, first mission with Alien is totaly broken, the doctor at the beginning is not saying anything, there aren't even subtitles.

Did the install go normally ? You should have 240 files in your install folder (15,2gb)

how does this method work? could you explain? i changed the ID and got steam opened but it doesnt work. there is something like "Group disconnect" and i can't do shit. only inviting friends. ranked match and such is greyed out. did they do this by invite?

Yes, everything was normal, I have 15,2gb and there are bunch of steamstart files, game keeps making them everytime I start the exe(regular exe, btw). I can start dx11, and the sound is perfect then but the game crashes, stutters and bla bla, again unplayable.


yep everything seems normal 15.2 (243 files), but I just know I'm missing sounds, not to mention having no subtitles.

From what i've seen you have to install this Zero Gear Demo and add the Zero Gear Demo ID (18800) to the steam_appid.txt in your avp folder and then start the game. Doesnt seem to work here though, so i might be wrong Razz

you need the original steamapi.dll too. got it from the steam underground. but you hardly find games. seems you're only able to play with others who're using this method too.

maybe it's because we don't have the patched files.

just confirmed that I am fucking missing speech sound. I enterd the game through the dx 11 exe fille all the sounds are there. the problem is I dont have dx 11 and there for the gfx are very dull on a max brightness.

They're technically better than Bioshock, according to my opinion, fits the game nicely.

But nothing special really ... not enough "oomph" in the gfx engine.

The voice overs are BBBAAAADDDD

Rating on a scale is pretty tough unless you rate it against something, but I guess you could say they're around an 8. Better than most other FPS titles on the PC (not as impressive as, say, ME/ME2 or FC2/Crysis, but definitely nice enough) and CONSIDERABLY better than the 360 version.

Still, if you thought the demo version was "pretty bad" then perhaps you're best off going back to Crysis? Rolling Eyes

Ill read on steam forums there was TESSELLATION, ADVANCED SHADOWS and AA option in DX11 option in game menu... Is it real???

In razor/reloaded version,there is only TESSELATION..

excuse me for being stupid but what the f... is TESSELATION and why so much fuss? just play it on dx9, its 2h of play with each, i finished it all in 7 hours, crappy game, no difference between doom3 and avp, same "feeling", graphics not much higher, EXTREME BAD VOICE ACTING, hell if i make a close look even doom 3 is better.

Anyway, there is a patch to update our outdated version to something more recent. Also on this steam underground forum. Have yet to try it. Its a 50 MB update

I did patch the game with this packet... seems I find even less players than before Sad
This also patches the DX11 extra options stuff in and the lobbies in MP looking different and stuff.

It's an rar file and it's pw protected. You can get it in the steam underground forums. Someone linked it under the avp mp crack topic...

I just copied the razor crack over and it works just fine. And yes, it's still updated.
