I liked Two Worlds a bit :/ Esp. the multiplayer (if you get to play with friends, not some teenagers who start rapping...... )

Well after checking them they're those "moveshots" like from the first game showing quick animations.

Engine details and comparison screens plus some technical screens.

And some other screens, details and speculations about PhysX.

(I guess the main competitor would be Arcania, supposedly that engine is called Vision 7 http://physxinfo.com/news/1379/arcania-a-gothic-tale-will-use-physx-as-physics-engine/ )

More screens, engine is very well made and all (so this following might perhaps be a bit rude and incorrect even) as seen from the outdoor areas but certain places still looks like from the first game (Back in 2006 and all that means.) and someone ripped of the egyptian glyphs instead of trying a bit for mystic runic stuff or what to describe it as. Razz

EDIT: Nice parallax mapping effects though. Razz
(Very atmoshperic as well, kinda like Divinity 2's dungeons or Risen's.)

Two Worlds was terrible, but I think the sequel looks very promising. I'll keep my eye on this one.

You mean is playable now? The reason I didn't played it was because of the bad playability, bad controls, bad optimization of graphics, 100% unplayable. Plus the need to do "strange" things to "crack" it.

Game engine was pretty solid and with some tweaks it could look pretty good compared to the other big RPG's back then (Gothic 3, Oblivion and so.) although PhysX used a pretty early version so animations were somewhat badly synchronized and the game had a rather low budget which is pretty obvious with the voice acting quality, slightly clunky combat mechanics and balance problems as well but much better as of patch 1.6 Smile
(A lot of quests, though some can be a bit bland, and the gameworld is quite large albeit it's mostly concentrated to the northen forested area, southern area is much more diverse but with not much to do as it's kinda a wasteland with a few settlements here and there, rather short main story as well though but overall quite a decent game.)

I too thoroughly enjoyed the first. I have high hopes for the second.

If you played the first unpatched then you were essentialy playing a beta version, it had more bugs than Duriel's lair. But after a few patches it got much better. They never did fix that freeze spell that was way over powered though.

However, i bought the first just for its promised multiplayer, which turned out to be unplayable due to bad netcode (i havnt tried since, so maybe they have fixed it a bit by now).

Banhappy moderators and low amount of players plus rampant cheating also killed of much of the multiplayer potential, mods also work though you get banned if more than the two allowed mods are detected.
(Host and client need the same modifications to play together as well.)

(Two allowed mods were the one so you always say health, mp and level and the other one that did the same but showed all stats, used to detect cheaters mainly but it showed quite a bit of other info so it kinda conflicted with PvP combat.)

Looks like the release date in Germany is April 8th. I imagine the European release will be out fairly shortly after that if they keep to the same schedule as the first game.

Well females can't be heroes, everyone knows that. They're either damsels in distress to be rescued, or evil enemy bosses.

Sides you play as the brother looking to save his sister (again. Very Happy ) though given the opportunity mods can semi-fix this. (You will still have male armor models, not that there even was female armor models in the first game, and a male voice.)

EDIT: Divinity 2's approach could work though, sex-change and styling magic. Very Happy

The preview sounds really good, hope they don't mess everything up like they did with the first one, which in the end turned out to be a generic Oblivion clone (go figure).
