Are you truly that dense?
To offer a counter view is somehow wrong?

Ispep the thing is his opinion is based on reviews and not on the product , like he did love some game, it became goty on someones list and now he is proving, all that didn't like the product to stfu ... is like someone would say he didn;t like mario becasu it too slow but likes sonic for the chalange ... then someone else will go attack the sonic player for liking sonic and not mario |
and on and on ad nauseum (forgetting the fact that I have played most of these games mentioned and own the others)

Final Fantasy XIII Had Lots of Deleted Content
Final Fantasy XIII is a big game with a massive world to explore (cough -- once you get past all those linear paths -- cough). But it apparently could have been much bigger.
Square Enix specialty site FF Reunion has a short summary of a new interview with FFXIII art director Isamu Kamikokuryou. In the interview, Kamikokuryou discusses some of the content that was deleted from the game.
Apparently, the FFXIII design team created a number of areas that ended up not going into the final product. How much? Enough to create an additional game, according to Kamikokuryou.
Kamikokuryou shared a few locations with the magazine. Apparently, the design team created a full area surrounding Lightning's home. This area resembled a park. There was also a secret base for resistance group Nora inside a shop somewhere. Nautiuls Park, an amusement facility, at one point also included a zoo.
The content was already running on actual PS3 hardware, it seems, but was left out due to considerations for game volume and overall game balanace.
The FF Reunion site is itself not sure of the source of this interview, but I imagine it would be Famitsu, as the magazine has been running a series of interviews with FFXIII's designers since the game's release. Perhaps we can look forward to even more insights in coming issues.

The talk goes in the direction that them chaning it to multiplatform limitied the game from being to big. Aka to many disks on x0, while it would have fitted on ps3. Pure specualtions?

The story goes they changed that sentence from claiming disk space as the reason to what it says now.
But yeah, no doubt things get cut out of games all the time. And I agree what moronic decission to go out with this info. An amusement park and zoo and shit. I´m sure lots of people would have wanted a new golden saucer place.

Because the Golden Saucer was so necessary and fun! /end sarcasm
I hated the Golden Saucer (except the prison like part which was fun to go through)
anyway, I get what you're saying.
And I highly doubt we're gonna see DLC or some kind of "director's cut" or a "final mix" (á la Kingdom Hearts. Thank you Square Enix for not release the KH2 Final Mix outside of Japan *grumble grumble*).
If they cut the stuff, they cut it for good (or bad however you'd like to see it).
But in the end I suppose it's a way to bitch about space limitations on the 360 because once they make a game that won't fit on one Blu Ray Disc, I say they've gone mad!

thats how it usually starts, shortly afterwards more and more reviewers get their hands on it,
and soon inevitably a few non-reviewers.
being a significantly longer game than most nowadays, copies of it are in circulation much
earlier than with most titles, in order for reviews to be written before the release date logically.
i believe its gonna happen much sooner than expected...

you know what puts me off this game?
It looks and sounds so teeny. The gay Japanese girly pop music in the trailers, the crying teenage girls and gormless looking emo hair style men who wear ridiculous clothes (whats with that fucking beanie hat).. It looks like some kind of jap teen TV show or something..
I'm a big FF fan but so far this one is getting NO LOVE from me. I dont care if its not out yet, the graphics are the only thing that looks good so far, everything else looks fucking shit. I really can't be the only one who thinks this.. and TB, honestly, I'm a HUGE FF fan, Ive played every installment ever released multiple times, and even had the figurines at 18 years old, I can't stand behind you on this one
Maturity is a huge factor for me in games, especially RPGS, and this one does not look mature in the slightest. FF7 was mature, this is teen.

ff7 mature?
well, when i first played it at the age of 12 it felt mature.
last time i replayed it a year ago i actually realized how ridiculous and
pretentious it is, though i admit the plot had a few interesting points.
the only ff game that comes close to being mature is ff12; i do believe
that 13 is a step back to teeny shit, but i am also sure it wont be nearly
as ridiculous as 7 or 8 in that regard.
from what i have read, 13 is supposed to have the best narrative so far and
one of the best soundtracks since 6, excluding the j-pop main themes obviously.
the real complaints about the game so far are that it is way too linear, even
for ff standards, there arent many characters in the story, absence of conventional
towns, shops etc., and the harsh difficulty of the game.
i actually see the high difficulty more as a plus point, but the general consensus
is that it is by far the hardest ff game, even compared to the nes and snes titles.

Quote: | the only ff game that comes close to being mature is ff12 | Thanks for the laughs. Gotta love those who never experienced IV, V, VI, IX.
As for wgem - i've learned not to take FF trailers serious, so many times the game has been totally different from what you've seen in the trailers. I actually have a friend who's finished XIII and he said aside from Snow being a ridiculously obvious HURR IM A MANLY HERO typical bullshit character the rest are really strong characters with alot of depth (depth not meaning HEHE EMOS) and that the storyline is gripping and enjoyable throughout so lets hope so..
although I have my doubts aswell... I had the same for X and that turned out to be good, nowhere near as good as previous games but still solid.
