Just got back from celebrating my wife's birthday, we also went to see Avatar again -- and I tell you, watching it in 3D is absolutely fucking SPECTACULAR! Honestly, it has to be seen to be believed.

Ok followed Pumpactions advice and watched Dead Set.
And I have to say, pretty good! not greatest Zombie flick in the world but pretty decent espacially when you consider its a british tv production.
When comparing to other movies and judged by cinema standards I would give it a 7.2

Hey!! What's that supposed to mean, huh? You got something against British TV/Movies? *blows raspberry*

Shaun of the Dead and 28 Days Later were both BRITISH. 28 Weeks Later wasn't as good as Days, but it was still great and that TOO was British. Shit, I could list a hundred or more British movies that kick shit out of most Hollywood bullshit.

Dead Set was quite about one of the most brilliant things, but it has to be taken within context to be appreciated best - it is first and foremost a social satire. Smile

Sorry, the emphasis was on TV not britain Wink
Shaun of the Dead was THE greatest zombie movie I have ever seen, and 28 days and weeks later were also awesome, so no hate against the empire here!
Btw those are 3 zombie movies I liked more and there are several more that have a slight edge imo, like pontypool for example.

Absolutely it was! We honestly couldn't believe how much better everything looked, and not just "oooooh, pretty things come flying out the screen!!!" but the overall sense of depth and detail. I'm very impressed and it just made a great film even greater.

I rarely go to cinema these days, waste of money if you ask me. Sure, company is great, but you can have company at home. Put a projector at the basement, and it is even more fun because no one walks in the middle, no bitch's phone rings in the middle, no 15 minute advertisements. Smile

27 dresses - 2/5

Wtf do women like shit like this. Cute little flick completely void of any realism or emotion. Everyone keeps running around acting all hysterical like they're on speed or something.
Give me a real deep love story, with real emotions. Gave it a 2 cause both chicks are hot in this otherwise its just sugar encoded crap.

I do agree that British have quite the talent, it may lack the usual hollywood cinematography (which is a good thing imo since it invokes originality) but if anyone wants a bit of good variety I suggest british comedy

You mean for Bluray 3d? If so, not just any HD tv will do.
It has to do 120HZ refresh rate.

Is that the only requirement on an HDTV? 120hz? It doesn't need any other special features or anything?
