this game made me reinstall D2 again......yet again.....

I've yet to beat it on all difficulties (hell, i'm looking at you) solo, due to immuniites.

Noticed the highres mod.....which is AMAZING, playing D2 in 1680x1050 is just....how the game shuold be played

Isnt there a problem being bale to attack monsters when they can't "see" you?
I thought I read a glitch where you are able to attack enemies from further away than they were programmed for and they will not react. . .?

Yes, but it affects only ranged characters(bows, magic). If you are playing as a melee char hires mod doesn't cause any problems, maybe only making game a little bit easier as you could see big groups of monsters from afar and don't rush in the middle.

I dunno.....

I've got a huge amount of skellies runnin around, it isn't that the enemies don't notice them, but that both the enemies and skellies don't see each other (when using 1680 and above)

Not a gamebreaker, try it for 2 minutes and you understand how it works, and it works great IMO.

Damn over 1 million sorry... Was in a hurry to remember other stuff than how many sold... Smile

Owell...

I'd be surprised if that game sold even over 15k.

It sold over 1 million... GOOGLE it next time !!! TRY to learn something new everyday !

NOW, how many sales did TorchLight make compared to DL ???
TERRIBLE !...

But at the moment Orb is on hold Sad...

Torchlight is a cheap boring game, I mean, I want a RPG that offers tons of goodies to do/visit than just one dungeon...

Apparently it didn't sell one million fast enough. The company tanked and the game stank. One Million isn't exactly a block buster these days and besides that, Wikepedia isn't the most reliable source of info.

No small wonder Orb is on hold.

Torchlight is a boring game to YOU. we get it. Anyone that followed Fate, Mythos, etc. will not be surprised at what Torchlight is. Personally, I like Torchlight. A lot.
To each his own.
read some player reviews of Dungeon lords. that should make you happy. LoL.

Now after making my own Mods for Torchlight I find the game a bit more fun...
Like Dragon Age Origins... The Two-Handed weapons were way to slow, well, not anymore...he he...

Now I just got to figure out how to "add" GFX for huger maps, if possible...

December 18, 2009 - Torchlight Update Adds Steam Achievements, Cloud!

Runic's critically-acclaimed action RPG, Torchlight, has received a major update to add support for Steam Cloud functionality and Steam Achievements. With Steam Cloud support, Torchlight saved games and characters now follow you to any PC. In addition to adding Cloud support, Torchlight players may now slash their way to over 60 Steam achievements.

In celebration of the update Torchlight is available for 50% off until Monday!

Just updated! I wonder if those Steam achievements carry over from existing games from pre-patch? :\

Depends on how everything is triggered by Torchlights devs, you should ask them.

EDIT: And here's the updated files.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=I7PE2YLZ
(Big size due to to that single pack.zip archive at 300 MB.)

EDIT: NCF file.

As with my other uploads of patches this is just the updated files, it'll work with any release but it's not altered in any way from the original files so a updated crack or a so called loader is required.

Can't upload cracked material after all though in all honesty I'm not a coder or what to call it (Programmer?) so I couldn't crack it anyhow.
(Just simplifying the requirements to get the updated files.)

Once the retail patch is posted I'm sure there'll be a dox release of it fairly soon. Smile

What install errors? As in it won't install as there is a previous version already installed? If so, just delete the registry links in regedit?

Have you tried a clean install?
Installing the patch without an internet connection?

Are you trying to patch a cracked version?

Etc, etc.

Get the resdistributable "thing" from another source. I guess it's the visual c++ redistributables.

Get it from Microsoft.
