Hmmm, let's see... When was the last time I deemed a review score credible? Ah, right: never.

Yeah, but general bad reviews tend to spoil my interest for a game quite a bit. If its got good reviews im usually more psyched about it. Guess its part of my hype-inducing process.

Code: | SecuROM will be used only to verify the game’s executable and check the date. Beyond that, we are only using standard Games for Windows Live non-SSA guidelines, which, per Microsoft, comes with 15 activations (after that, you can reset them with a call to Microsoft.) |

It's a few days not that big of a deal. Blame 2K for failing at simultaneous releases.

Release date check and better protection for the PC edition as well, is there even a EXE or will it be downloaded on the 9th?
(Similar to how the first game worked.)

How do you guys think the sound on BS2 will be? I know it is using the FMOD engine for sound. The first one did also and i could never really get the surround sound to same quality as it 360 Dolby counterpart. I am using an XFI elite card, which i guess wont make a lot of difference since i believe the FMOD is all software based. I really would like to play this on the PC for the controls and graphics but i don't want to lose the immersion from crappy sound either.

I think scene groups have cracked Securom and VfW in the past, if I am right? Is there any reason to guess it will take more than a week to crack, due to new yet uncracked protection?
Not that I care, I'm not that hyped for the game, so I can wait some time to download it for free rather than buying double protection crap with DRM.

You know, maybe you misunderstood something and somehow you thought that publications use five star systems without intending to ever use all five of them. Fortunately I'm here to tell you that you're wrong. You're supposed to assume that nothing in life is perfect -- unless you're twelve years old you should already be aware of that fact. The Mona Lisa is flawed, The Godfather is flawed, and the finest woman in the world has a blemish somewhere on her stunning body.
I agree that it's likely this game won't really be 5/5 worthy, but it's not even close to as bad as a company that uses a 0/100% system giving it a 100%. Stop being a funsucker and try to enjoy life for what it is. Fucking wannabe cynics that run around these days need to lighten the fuck up.

Maybe the games industry should completely get rid of quantizing a games essence into numerical values (big words there!). Im starting to like the Kotaku and Joystiq way of reviewing games. No Scores, just text and some up and downs. Of course, then you cannot put those shiny little 9/10s and 5/5s on the boxes for maximum marketing effect. So that will probably never happen.

Walls of text are great but there is always going to be a flaw in the reviewing process and that's the reviewer. As long as you've got an unbiased source which takes the time to explain why it rates a game in such a way you're set. I don't tend to find myself disagreeing with good reviews very often even if I hate a certain product.

Read my post again. Yes, 5/5 is full score, but it shouldn't mean game is perfect without any flaw.
And I agree with Ishkur123, using numbers to judge games is dumb way of reviewing game.

Sorry muffin, but most reviewers that use a 5 star system will, at best, use half stars. You won't be getting any 4.9/5s in a half-star rating system. Good try trying to act like you're not mentally deficient though.
If somebody gives a 100%, they're using every single percentage point. A half-star 5/5 system is only 1/10th the possible number of ratings. Personally, I consider a 5/5 rating to be the equivalent of saying 96-100%. It's not a very accurate system, but unless you're a whining internet baby it really doesn't become a problem.
And yes, you did misunderstand. But it's okay. I'm sure people still appreciate you for your personality... oh wait.
Grow up and accept that 5/5 isn't supposed to mean perfect.

The problem today is that people, myself included, get put off if a game only gets 7/10 in reviews. Even tho it is still a "good" score. I guess we've been conditioned in that way over the past years. Heck, the Bioshock 2 fanboys in the 2K Forums think the 9.1 from IGN is a bad score and they call them ignorant and shit. Too much numbercrunching around.

Until you can present an argument without trying to make out that those who don't agree with you must be "mentally deficient", I don't think you have the right to tell anyone to grow up.
You can be right without being a cunt.
