Yes, going back to version 1.7.9 (NOT 1.825) for the sims3 without first addon dvd solve the problem, and the additional dowload content come back in the game. After, you can install the addon world addventure with the update 2.28 (NOT 2.33), and all will work proper. it seem that the additionnal crash problems are due to the graphic agp nvidia driver 195.xx, going back to 191.50 remove the crach's.

What happens if you use the previous 1.7.9 crack with game exe, launcher and that .dll file? might make the loader work though how this would affect the actual game.
(It might work to only use the older launcher EXE though.)
EDIT: Details on new content, probably won't work without the latest update which in turn limits installation of such content if it's not original.

Hey trust this as far as you can throw it..after all i found it on the internet..s...Figured someone already gathered this but if not it might be of interest..

It seems to me that this video game company is more invested in protecting its intellectual property than providing a good stable game. It's in their right to do so, read your EULA, it is also your right not to buy their games or expansion packs or whatevere they produce if you don't like the way they code their software. |

Well they are working on a few larger item packs and probably many smaller individual items so that seems logical as to for them maximize profits, same for future expansions and to block "harmful" mods in the process, somewhat of a annoyance as I do like some of the modifications released but I guess this is a rather logic continuation of what the latest patch brought.

EA are idiots, end of story. Custom content works just fine when in .package format and placed in the Mods\Packages folder (use Framework or similar), it's only sims3packs that do not work. You can also unpack sims3packs to .package files and put them in the Mods\Packages folder (some might need merging with s3pe). If after updating you find your installed content wont work, you can simply move your .dbc files from inside your EA game folder in your Documents to the Mods\DCCache (again if you use Framework/Monkeybars) and they'll work just fine on the latest patches. Riverview.world can be placed in the game directory (\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Worlds) though you may find after a while your saves don't work. A simple deletion of your Documents\EA will fix that and you can replace the \Saves directory after. It will stuff any Riverview saves, but that place is bland anyway.
Better luck screwing people next time EA.

what is this avenged release of the "create a sim 3" program today?
not sure if it is an addon, or just a demo feature to get ppl to buy the game....either way I can't figure it out and the Mrs's would love another addon.

Isn't it just a repost of the original "promo" disk that was given away before the game came out? It's just a character creator people used to make their Sims ready to import into the full game.

Awesome, thanks mate! I dunno how but that addon completely passed me by >_< I also found out what the new Create-A-Sim thing is; it's a new release that completely changes the stock CAS in Sims 3, giving more control and more options over how you look and what your styles are. Apparently EA said the CAS in Sims 2 was far more flexible, so they released this to "upgrade" the one in Sims 3. Yet another cash in.

I just hope that this stuff-pack is another sigh that the Sims Store is failing miserably.
I also liked the S2 characters better. The S3 ones look awfully samey, no matter how much I try to make them look different. Especially the women.

I'm curious too as to what this CAS upgrade is, especially considering the filesize. What could possibly be in there that would bloat it out that much? A simple UI change and a few extra options would amout to a couple of hundred mb at the most. I'm guessing this must include a boatload of additional textures, though even then it seems rather large. As for the females looking samey, there's a mod over at modthesims that adds sliders for tits, ass, hips and wastes, but I'm unsure these will work with the latest patches just released (2.0.8.4/2.4.7.0). There's also awesomemod that increases the slider limit as one of its functions. There's also some custom worlds over there for Sims 3 so if you're bored of the two official worlds go have a look.

sabin i did a basement by building it under the garden then connecting it from there with extended walls from house..
that was ages ago now though, not got it installed at this time.

If I've got World Adventures installed, do I just need the WA2.4 patch/crack or do I need the S31.9 one too?
