So, for those that played BC1 on the consoles how does the sequel compare? Just more of everything or any big changes? I missed the keys so I can't bloody try it. :/

I am running on stock clocks - 2,66 GHz. If you have GTX280, core i7 is a better choice than a new GPU in my opinion. I'd wait another generation, or at least wait to see what's Fermi all about, before upgarding the GPU.
Edit: And what settings are you running it on, by the way?

True, CPU would be more future proof, although it costs more money Sad
Im running all high and its around 30fps sometimes dropping to 25 or so during fights. I seems quite smooth though. In other games 30 fps would be pretty jerky Smile

Its just the feeling of lower fps than I was used to that gives me the urge to upgrade lol.

Overlocked my CPU back to what I usually have it (defaulted back so to stock for some reason) and it's noticably smoother. Smile

Just pulled 12.5k total score out of the bag, too Very Happy (9.2k from awards)

i have a E5200 @ 3.6ghz and the game uses about 60% on both cores, i doubt you and me are cpu limited in a big way.

try turning off bloom and the bottom option in advanced , for bloom you gotta go to your settings.ini

I already did that. It may be an XP problem though ? (not sure how this game is XP freindly since ppl seem to have better performance in DX10 Smile )

Tried turning off Bloom before, no noticeable improvement.
Running all high, except no HBAO at 1920x1080 with x2 AA and x8 AF.
Get same as you actually FPS 25-40, but most of the time it keeps going around 25-30 especially in big fights.
Edits: It is possible that it's not the CPU clock that matters, but the cores. Devs said before, that there will be benefits for quad cores. Someone with comparable setup but with a quad machine could share some insights.

The big changes are in the class setups, the changes make this game WAY better.

You can put attachments on your weapons

Medic class can revive and has medi packs (the assault class had a medic syringe and could heal himself, no way to revive people in BC1)

If you saw an enemy in your cross-airs or hit them with explosives or bullet they will have a triangle over their heads (all this is manually done now with the Q key, this alone makes the game more challenging)

Buildings can be destroyed all the way down to rubble

Your not forced into a squad (mainly for those snipers that want to sneak behind enemy lines and not have everyone spawn on him and start shooting ape-shit giving away your position)

They added killcam but I hope you can turn that shit off on the server.

Does anyone have problems with nvidia graphic card and freezing? I don't know why but here game freezes after about 10-15min of playing (blue and red lines appear on the screen, sound turn into a noise and after a while screen goes black (autorestart is disabled in case of bsod, but this isn't bsod)

Currently I'm using latest BETA drivers because of overclocking issue.

My PC is:

Q6600 (G0) @ 3,52GHz | P5K Deluxe | 8800GTS 512MB + Accelero S1 rev. 2 + Noctua 120mm fan @ 750/1880/1000 | 2x 2GB XP6400 800MHz @ 1056MHz | F3 1TB | 2232BW 22" | SH-S203B | P182 | HX 520W | NH-U12F | G5 and Win 7 Pro x64

I've been testing this with stock clocks of my GF and same thing happens. My PC has been overclocked for more than 2 years with those clocks and this is a frist game causing this kind problem.

I have heard that reason is nvidia's drivers (every version of 195.xx and 196.xx-series) and this problem might been fixed with driver version 191.07.

I second that.

CPU is running at 80% during the game btw. Don't know if I'll achieve much by overclocking.

Edit: Apparently there's a patch coming up.

In-game mate. Just load up the game, login to your EA account (or create one) and enter your key =)

Even those 191.07 dirvers didn't helped. I cleaned previous ones with Driver Sweeper (including PhysiX drivers aswell). Sad

Any ideas?

Interesting... bumped my CPU clock to 3.2 GHz. The game feels much smoother now, although FPS boost is not huge.. it's now 30-50, but very rarely dips below 30.
So unless it was just restarting my PC that helped, this thing wants more CPU than most of the other games out there.

Attachments are unlocked with score, like everything else. Check out weapons and gadgets section in game, it is there. If I understood correctly, attachments are universal, once you unlock one, you can stick it on any gun of the type, I might be wrong though.
