Do paragon or renegade points affect any powers or abilities? I see that some skills allow you to get more paragon/renegade points (faster) but do the points affect any fighting abilities? (I know they affect choices in coversation, etc)
I don't understand how hardware could affect any of this. I Am not only one having this problem. It's hardly unique.
The entitlement cache file is encrypted using system-specific data (thus making that ini file system specific, you cannot copy it to another system and expect it to work).
What would i require to decrypt the file from my own system then? How difficult would this be to accomplish?
i dunno if its just me but after completing the game and only having like 2 heavy pistols, 2 smgs, 2 sniper rifles etc etc i feel like theres a large lack of weapons. of course, unless i missed a shitton of them?

No effect on abilities, those skills can come in handy when you are faced with a choice and don't have enough points to use Paragon/Renegade option...had this with Jack/Miranda ...conversation
@mike
As far as I could tell there are 2 basic weapons for each category, then you get to choose one special at a certain point, and plus there some with the DLC. There are 5 basic heavy weapons though (without DLC). The fact is they substituted weapon choices for upgrades. In total there are maximum 3 weapons of each type, except the heavies, again without the DLC. At least that's how it seems to me.

If you want to use pirate dlc with a pirate version of this game you won't have to decrypt anything. Just make sure that your firewall blocks ANY communication from the ME2 launcher and ME2.exe file, I did it, so can you installing all dlc's is as simple as it gets.
The current DLC is not that great IMO anyway. When the good stuff starts to come out, that's when I'd love for it to work
I'll check it out tomorrow, seems to work for majority of people, can't imagine the frustration of the unlucky few for whom it doesn't. But we get this for free, doesn't feel right to complain.
Thanks to the cracker and the supplier in any case.

I have tried that long ago. It has nothing to do with the firewall nor does it need to be blocked. So, no. It's not that simple. Read the contents of this thread.
I Am not the only one having an issue with the unlocker.

Well, I'm sorry to hear that you got problems with the dlc but I can only repeat what I said and I have read this Thread but if my advice doesn't help you I don't know what to say. I can't prove that what I say is right so I won't comment on this any further...
Tried, when i launch game i noticed that all my settings are back to default, game ask me to connect to ea online, i refuse set no to feedback and log in, exit game install dlc then unlocker, but in game always the same pop up error
The very same thing happened to me.
If i log in, it asks me to redeem code or purchase it.
WHY are you even trying to log-in? You're not supposed to log in. You disable that in the game options. Then you install the dlc and unlock it. No logging in is needed.
In retrospect, I think if there is one thing where ME2 fails, is actually not having enough.
I can't help but think how much better the whole experience would have been, if there was at least a couple bigger missions between team gathering and the conclusion.
It just feels as if you are thrown from the prologue straight to the finale. You get your team, and bam, it's over. It has been like this with many BioWare games, but with ME2 it seems even more pronounced, the tighter and shorter mission design is the reason probably.
Anyhow, sorry for the small rant
I did really enjoy the game, I just felt like there was plenty of unused potential to make an epic game even more....epicer..epical..whatever
As for DLC, kinda funny reading people talk about playing it, and at the same time read the news about it being delayed for a few more days (not to mention talking about the ending, while the game hasn't even been released yet).
I feel the same way. I barely got to use the last guy I recruited. There should have been a couple more missions after you assemble the whole team.
Also, the DLC missions arent that great. Crash site sucks. New NPC is just one loyalty mission. Not even a "recruitment" mission. Items look cool I guess since the game has so few.

Man, how did i not think of that by now? Thanks for the oh so insightful advice.
Still wondering if there's some sort of overview to see which DLC you have installed.
Can I assume, that if I get no error message when booting up the game that all the installed DLC has been activated and can be used?

Yes, and once you load the game (new game or previous save) you'll have a bunch of new emails telling you what DLC you have and where to get it.

Ooooh..emails. Would that be on the main screen or actually ingame?
Have yet to start an actual game
How do the DLC items compare to say the Dragon Age DLC items for those who played it. I know at least the Blood Dragon armor or whatever it was called was fairly useful not to mention the weapon from the special ore, and even the rings / amulets.
To be honest, the armour sets are pretty weak considering you lose the ability to add different parts of the set - and thus lose specific bonuses per item.
Question guys. Is there a proper crack or release for ME1 or is it still crashing and such?
I remember playing this a year ago WITH a crack and had no troubles whatsoever.
I do remember a lot of boring bits though and can't find myself to download a copy and play it through again before starting on ME2.
Did they add any new options - hairstyles, facial hairs, scars etc. - to the custom character generation? And do the custom faces also get the Terminator-ripoff look (in the spoiler)?
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
