by the way i remember being able to customise and change the gear and skills of my squad mates in ME1 , have they totally remove this in ME2?

Yes; too complicated for console players. Laughing

Makes me wonder, in missions where the character comment, what would happen if now take Zaeed? Will he comment as well?

I hope so. Seems they have pre-recorded a bunch of options for some characters even if it isn't loyalty quests, i remember visiting the same places with different teams and they both spoke

Kinda missed the interactions between the crew in missions. There were some amusing ones in ME1.
Did catch one good one in ME2 though:
I took Garrus and Tali to the Citadel, and while we were going up the stairs(level was transitioning) he teased her about the talks in elevators. Said he missed those, and would like to hear her talk about the flotilla or their immune system again.
Also laughed my ass off at the Varren STD implications on the ship.

Finished the game:

Great game, although as with the last one, too bad its over Smile And yeah, after DragonAge it feels kinda short. Could be that I played almost non stop though. Second playthrough I'll try to soak it in a little more Smile
About choices..I think ME2 will have greater effect on ME3, than ME1 did on the second. They were kinda trying it all out this time around. With imports and stuff. ME3 seems to be much more definite release, and it is going to be a finale, so all the choices you made will need to have an effect.

They should have let the music keep going.

I doubt it, I took Miranda with me for the Zaeed mission and she didn't comment once the entire mission.

In some loyalty missions, the third character doesn't say a word or play an important part at all. They are just there for the combat (or not at all - Thane).

Also some bugs... bugged me, sometimes it felt like it was an unfinished release. Had plenty of those fly up in the air ones, some other very minor graphical glitches. There were some more, can't remember the details though, so not so important.

Had a weirdly amusing one during Tali's side quest:

Somewhat difficult to understand how can a game be boring and very good at the same time Smile
Not trying to be offensive or anything, i do realise if you look at it that way, there's a lot of fiddling around. But the story/choices/dialog makes this game what it is, so you have me confused there Smile

Awesome job on the unlocker. Works on old save games (only tried armor real fast). Win7 x64.

FOr those playing on harder difficulty settings, which of the defensive powers seem the best (or better): Barrier, Fortification, or Geth SHield Boost?

I havent started playing yet but trying to figure out which achievement power to get for my character.

How do we know if all the DLC in installed ok? I checked the armors, and was able to put on the blood armor. Assuming all else is fine then?

Check your armors and see if everything is there (armor types, helmets, weapons) and you will receive messages for everything from the Illusive Man.

Awesome unofficial forum support as always Wink.

I downloaded all the DLC's and the unlocker and it all seems to do the trick, I'm not getting any messages that it doesn't work anyway.

Is there a way to check which DLCs I have installed ingame (like with DA:O)? I don't see any sort of overview or anything....

This post fails on so many levels that I cannot express it.

Anyway, taking the renegade path now, it's so fucking weird that even though you have fucking terminator eyes and red robotic scars on your face nobody is asking questions or is afraid of you. Laughing

Is the unlocker needed just for the cerberus account access which makes the DLCs work? I am wondering if buying a game and having a legit cerberus account would be enough to make all the pre-load DLCs work without using the unlocker.

In retrospect, I think if there is one thing where ME2 fails, is actually not having enough.
I can't help but think how much better the whole experience would have been, if there was at least a couple bigger missions between team gathering and the conclusion.
It just feels as if you are thrown from the prologue straight to the finale. You get your team, and bam, it's over. It has been like this with many BioWare games, but with ME2 it seems even more pronounced, the tighter and shorter mission design is the reason probably.

Anyhow, sorry for the small rant Smile
I did really enjoy the game, I just felt like there was plenty of unused potential to make an epic game even more....epicer..epical..whatever Rolling Eyes

As for DLC, kinda funny reading people talk about playing it, and at the same time read the news about it being delayed for a few more days (not to mention talking about the ending, while the game hasn't even been released yet).
