tried playing singleplayer again, after having zero problems the first time through. i get an insufficient free memory error now. the fuck is this all about? around 80gb free on the game drive, and around 30 free on c drive. no way am i out of space.

yeah ok my bad, i shouldnt have used the word 'memory'. wrong word, but correct thinking. the error message is "Insufficient free disk space ... please free 5 mb of disk space."

Maybe you're out of swap space and the message is just confusing?
nah, no way... never had the problem before, and im sure if that were the case windows would have coughed up a warning in the taskbar or something...
did some searching and apparently im not the only one to have the problem... there was talk of it happening when the game was trying to autosave, and that it might have something to do with the game only willing to allocate a certain amount of hdd space to the savegames or something like that... i dunno, ive got a perfectly solid and up to date computer, that has no problem running all games, including this one (the first time through, at least).. its weird, and too frustrating for me to really care about... i just uninstalled the game, problem solved
Been following this thread since I stumbled across it early November - finally decided to sign-up here!
Anyway, nothing new to say really, just that me and 5 friends spent a whole hour trying to get into a game together and only managed one game which died half-way through. I got every error I've ever seen, "Waiting for party leader", "Unable to connect to host", "Unable to join session", an odd "trying to merge lobbies" message when our lobby was full, etc. etc.
Really starting to regret buying this game, hopefully the TeknoGods can whip out a solution that makes it all better!

By time technogods comes out with something (last one was back in Nov.2009), COD5 will be released. I have been playing just fine for hours with working 175 patches. Sometimes I get server get disconnected or host not available--but this is more the fault of IW dumb decision to go with P2P instead of dedicated servers.
I've said this before and I'm starting to sound like a broken record but I really hate this player-host shit...it's so fucking annoying and retarded. I can't believe that the console crowd thought this is good. -.-
@Yondaime Generally hit detection is tilted the attacker's way - sometimes you get a hit even if your bullets miss the target. This makes giving headshots to running target retardedly easy.
does someone else notices, that they fixed the bug, when lunching the game, it used to freeze for ~1min.. it freezez no more?! wtf
