Sweet! Seriously looking forward to it. Does my code that you gave me automatically put me in your Corp or should I just apply if/when I get into the beta?

I guess the NDA covers just about everything and anything we could ask, Phluxed?

That Recon class seems godly compared to the fatass standing around with the minigun - speed, stealth and sniping all in one.

Edit: ^ Or you need to switch those gear sets to change into those roles, which'd of course make more sense.

Just whisper Phluxed when you do get in, and I'll start inviting people when you all get in.

NDA covers basically everything yea... theres a lot of stuff about the classes I can't talk about... Recon is pretty godly, yea... but there are a LOT of changes on the horizon... so many its hurting my fingers NOT to type them out to you, because they're going to completely blow your socks off.

I've already had to install punkbuster and allow all its services to play Quake Live, so if it uses anything, it'd better be Punkbuster.

I could only play BF:Heroes because the devs disabled PB for the beta (they acknowledge that it's a beta AND that a lot of the players are using Win7)

... I really hope Global Agenda isn't using PB Crying or Very sad

Thanks mate, seriously! BF:H was/is a let-down, but that's what you get from "free" games, I guess. My hopes for GA haven't been diminished one iota Very Happy

GREETINGS!

The past few weeks have been super busy in the world of Global Agenda. In addition to crunching to put the final touches on the game before we transition into our initial Closed Beta Phase, we also worked hard to get the game ready to showcase at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (aka, E3) in Los Angeles on June 2 - June 4.

Fortunately, the gaming press seems to have liked what they saw at E3, and we've seen a lot of great coverage coming out of the show. This mailer points you to some of our favorite articles on the game, as well as highlights other happenings inside the Global Agenda Community.

Please forward this e-mail to your friends and fellow gaming enthusiasts and encourage them to sign up for our Closed Beta, which is still expected to begin this summer.

TENTONHAMMER: BEST GAMEPLAY AT E3 2009

Build the Best Fan Site!

After sitting down with the crew from Hi-Rez at E3, TenTonHammer.com declared Global Agenda to have the Best Gameplay at the show, stating:

" We saw a few 'persistent world shooters' at E3 2009 this year, and Global Agenda, in our opinion, has the most to offer traditional MMO players... We'd dare anyone to play just one mission of this game, since we had a very rough time putting Global Agenda down when it was time to rush off to our next appointment."

INTERVIEW FEATURES NEW GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE

GameTrailers.com E3 Interview with Todd Harris

GameTrailers.com has released an interview conducted at E3 with Executive Producer Todd Harris. The video includes new in-game footage, as well as fresh details on character creation, player-vs-environment missions and the player-vs-player Campaign.

For fans that want to know more about the game, this is definitely must-see TV that does a great job of summarizing what we showed at E3.

GLOBAL AGENDA "SLICK, POLISHED, BAD ASS"

Build the Best Fan Site!

GamersInfo.Net met with the Global Agenda team at E3, and has published a preview here.

Among our favorite callouts:

"...it looks slick; it looks polished; it looks bad-ass. The graphics are top notch, the animations seamless. My character ran, crouched, jumped, caught ledges, heaved herself up, knifed an NPC in close combat and did a moon walk when she danced."

"Slick. Very slick. Global Agenda looks polished and looks great. Here’s one for an indie studio.

GLOBAL AGENDA "BIGGEST SURPRISE OF E3"

Dome City

Jeff Hollis of IncGamers.com used his first post-E3 MMO Weekly Column to callout Global Agenda as his “Biggest Surprise of E3.”

"In a nutshell, Global Agenda plays beautifully. It was actually hard to walk away from this game. Please understand, I was at freakin’ E3. Beautiful, alluring games surrounded me, tempting me with their siren songs. But the gameplay in Global Agenda was so riveting, it was like an electromagnet, and it wouldn’t let me go to them. I simply had to play for a few minutes more. Truth is, I wanted to play for hours, and I haven’t felt this way about a game in a long, long time. "

..AND THE HITS KEEP ON COMING

Here is a summary of what others are saying:

"Global Agenda is shaping up well -- Hi Rez is doing a great job of mixing in some uncommon influences and combining them with the persistent MMO genre. We'll definitely be on the lookout for the beta later this year." -- Massively.com

"The skinny is this: the game looks, feels, and plays like those old Unreal Tournament games I loved so much. It’s quick, dirty, and the weapons are awesome. It’s also got a hot sci-fi feel. GA is a true shooter, in that whereever you put your gun site, that’s where the rounds go. It’s not like Tabula Rasa, which handled accuracy with a lot of behind the scenes number crunching. In TR, where you put your gun site wasn’t particulary important, but your accuracy stats were."
-- WanderingGoblin.com

"Global Agenda looks interesting and its de-emphasis on precise aim and lightning reflexes seems like a smart move for a game that's trying to build up a massively multiplayer audience."
-- Gamespot

"..what makes Global Agenda so interesting is how fun it is to play."
-- RockPaperShotgun

"Hi-Rez Studios was at E3, and there are many reports of people being more than pleasantly surprised by Global Agenda. Beside the fact that it is likely a very good game, I'm cheering for a small game developer to make big waves in the sea of large and established studios. Its easy to get overlooked at a big show like E3, so I'm happy that they Hi-Rez guys seem to have a good thing going.
-- WallOfText

And If that doesn't fully satisfy your Global Agenda appetite, be sure to check out the Todd Harris interview on Gamesnafu.com!

Check steam.

Its one of the top selling games atm.

Also, basing your decision to play the game on whether or not you got invited into the beta is ludicrous, and childish. Though, so is me calling you out for it on a forum.

Its either going to be this game or Star Trek for me.
I wish I had've had the opportunity to have tried it out.

In the end though, it doesn't sound like it has enough MMO elements for my tastes. I may hold out on both of them and see what the reviews and things are like for each.

Just wanted to add that you should really first pre-order the game then play the beta and then decide if you like it.

Had it pre-ordered and played the beta, its a very buggy and unfinished game.
The game UI is horrible, the itmes in the game have no stats, they are just visual (talking about armor). The gameplay altho fast it feels choppy, so advice is to get it and if you don't like it let steam refund it.
