I posted this in the PC thread but I thought I'd re-post if for anyone who is curious:
I beat the game tonight...with no team casualties. Highlight the spoiler below if you would like to know how I did it

-Completed all Normandy upgrades (Guns, Shields, Hull)
-Finished all 9 loyalty missions
-On the suicide mission I:
*Sent Tali in to open the door
*Put Miranda in charge of the second team
*Send Mordin back with the Normandy crew
*Had Jack escort my team down the one path
*Put Miranda in charge of the other team
*Final team consisted of Miranda and Grunt

How much exploring etc. did you do?
and I'll ask again, is there any "easy" way to scan a planet? O.o
Takes fucking forever and I'll almost everytime use all of my 30 probes even on a "poor" planet.

When asked for disk 2. First insert the Activatio.iso disc. Then the ME2 disc 2 and it works... |

Is there a new activate disc? didnt work for me when i tried it :/ But well im using the one since uhm dunno first release forgot which fw it was when it came out.

Jesus Fucking Christ people.... why all this bullshit about "waaaaah, my activate.iso doesn't work!! waaaah!" You have two, incredibly simple, choices;
1a. If you have a Liteon, upgrade to iXtreme LT.
1b. If you have any other drive, upgrade to iXtreme 1.61
or
2. If you're banned and don't care about Live, just patch the damned thing with Wave3 patcher.

anyone else choose vanguard and regret it?
the vanguard totally blows so far. im recruiting my 3rd member but so far the vanguard is incredibly useless. im playing on hardcore i dont know how hard it is on normal, but u cannot just run up and blast away. even one guy is hard to take down just running at him and blasing. the vanguards main power is the dash. so after i dash and knock a guy over im wide open to get blasted by everyone around. and the shockwave power so far is totally useless. it misses half the time and somtimes knocks a guy over. i dont know if these powers will get amazing or if my guy will get more durable, but i wish i would have went with any other class but vanguard. im thinking a sentinel or biotic would have been the way to go. but im sure the soldier is probably the best in this game sincie its basically a run and gun now.

I think it gets better, i am a vanguard and after upgrading my main skills (dash & shockwave) to max and got a assault rifle i pretty much kill everything in my way, but i'm playing it on normal.

Dash = Charge ?
Was the assault rifle due to leveling up, if so what level are you ?

what level do u get assault rifle.
and what powers do u recommend getting the quickest?
to me it seems like going for the stronger ammo and power is more useful then the couple biotic powers u have

Yes with dash i meant charge.
I cant say to much because i spoil but let me put it this way, i think about halfway of the main quest you get in contact with the collector's again and the shit hits the fan and in that level you get the choice to specialize in 4 types of weapons. 1. The assault rifle 2. Sniper 3. Krogan Shotgun 4. forgot.

Arghh, thank you, im gonna follow that list. I did exactly the same, EXCEPT for the last three points.
Beat it last night, but i lost two members:

All upgrades done to the Normandy, and all loyalty missions done.
I also sent Tali to open the door. And Miranda to lead the other team.
But I sent Grunt back with the crew and had Samara as my escort. And then my final boss team consisted of Garrus and Legion. And fucking Jack and Mordin dies  Now I gotta play through the whooole last part again :/ |

Mate, 1.61 (all varieties, including Samsung) boots Wave 4 -- that was the REASON 1.61 was released. If you can't boot Wave 4 games without the activate.iso, then you don't have 1.61, or the Wave 4 games you've downloaded have been tampered with, resulting in the firmware blocking the disk from loading unless you use the activate.iso.

Does anyone know how to get into the VIP Room on Omega? I've done pretty much every mission in the game now, just about to head through Omega Relay towards end-game... but that guarded/locked VIP door is bugging me. I want in!
