Is it possible to change language in razor's release?

indeed, took a while to figure it out but, it's quite simple!

go to your me2 installation directory under "Mass Effect 2\data" you will se some config files, open sku.ini and put the string of your chosen language in the to lines

for english must be something like this:

[SKU]
SKU=
VOLanguage=INT
TextLanguage=INT

the eng is the only lang with a strange prefix (INT) if ya dont find what's the prefix for you chosen lang, pls refer to google and ME1 language questions, the prefixes for the langs are the same.

Dunno if it was already posted, but if you want to disable the intro movies just move or delete the BWLogo.bik and the ME_EAsig_720p_v2_raw.bik files from the Mass Effect 2\BioGame\Movies. Very Happy

Umm i maybe missing something here, but there's plenty of weapons, yes maybe variants of just the basic 6, but still all have different traits and styles.

I've done the first four main quests, I don't know how far I am at this point, but I haven't seen that many different weapons.

Five or so weapon categories for your character, dependant character class, companions normally use two weapon categories.

Soldier for example will have Assault rifle, pistol, sniper rifle, shotgun and the heavy weapon category (But no SMG's) but this also counts the pistol and heavy pistol as separate similar to shotgun and assault shotgun thus creating the 19 or so "classes" bioware spoke about.
(Heavy weapons being the most diverse from beam weapons to rockets to freeze guns and who knows what else, limited ammo though or "heatsinks".)

Quick question: I'm gonna make Shepard female, so what are my banging options? Lesbifun preferred (though not with that horrible bald Frankenstein/Darth Vader chick), but straight alternatives are appreciated.

Don't you need to import a character to be female?
(Game starts with a male character with Ashley normally, though not romanced.)

no, you can choose your gender after the intro mission (where you customized your char)
At least it was like that in the 360 version, but I don't think it's different from the PC version.
Also if you start as a female, Kaiden(sp?) lives and Ashley is dead.

Not unless i also missed something. There is like maybe 4-5 different armors for each part ( less for some parts) and considering the low bonuses of armor I presume it's just there for the cosmetics.

Im avoiding this topic like the plague until i get my retail version coming Friday.

But does the release contain a pdf manual? If yes can someone upload it somewhere?

I don't wanna download the game for 2,5 hours to find out it doesn't have a manual on the disc.

PostPosted: Sun, 24th Jan 2010 17:16    Post subject: disappearing bodies fix?
There was really-really annoying thing in Mass Effect 1: the corpses in the game disappeared in a very short time, technically in front of my eyes. I was able to fix this by editing the BioGame.ini. I've just started to play Mass Effect 2 and this very same problem showed again, but in this case there isn't BioGame.ini, there is Coalesced.ini instead which can't be edited. (the game won't start if I do so, some sort of protection shit) I was able to edit it with HEX Workshop, and the game started and was running perfectly, but the problem was the same, nothing has changed.

Here are the lines which had to be changed in Coalesced.ini (these exact same lines were in the BioGame.ini too):

m_nMaxCorpseVisibilityCleanupAttempts=4 ;If after this many tries, the body has not gone off screen, use the distance threshold
m_fCorpseCleanupFirstAttemptTime=5.0 ;How many seconds to wait until the first corpse cleanup attempt
m_fCorpseCleanupAttemptRetryTime=2.0 ;How many seconds to wait between cleanup tries
m_fMaxCorpseCleanupDistanceThreshold=4000.0 ;FOR NON SKELETAL MESH CORPSES: Distance the corpse must be from the camera before it is cleaned up even if it is in view (in centimeters)
m_fMaxCorpseCleanupScreenSizeThreshold=0.20 ;FOR SKELETAL MESH CORPSES: The corpse must take up this much screen space or less before it is cleaned up even if it is in view

I modified the values in Mass Effect 1 like this and this is how it worked fine (I also modified these values in Coalesced.ini, but like I said It didn't work)

m_nMaxCorpseVisibilityCleanupAttempts=0 ;If after this many tries, the body has not gone off screen, use the distance threshold
m_fCorpseCleanupFirstAttemptTime=5000.0 ;How many seconds to wait until the first corpse cleanup attempt
m_fCorpseCleanupAttemptRetryTime=5000.0 ;How many seconds to wait between cleanup tries
m_fMaxCorpseCleanupDistanceThreshold=2000000.0 ;FOR NON SKELETAL MESH CORPSES: Distance the corpse must be from the camera before it is cleaned up even if it is in view (in centimeters)
m_fMaxCorpseCleanupScreenSizeThreshold=1000.20 ;FOR SKELETAL MESH CORPSES: The corpse must take up this much screen space or less before it is cleaned up even if it is in view (see FSkeletalMeshObject::MaxDistanceFactor)

Any ideas? Thx!

My name is Legion, for we are many.
Lol, that was not very predictable...
Also, the second part of recruting is pretty boring, cause you simply go and blow up stuff.
The ending is epic and all, but the second part of recruting is like....Well, pinnacle station dlc from me1.
It seems to me that Me3 would be a long corridor with interactive movies in some parts...Meh.

There is no pdf manual. At least there isn't on either disc or in the install directory. Perhaps one of the digital download sources will have one once the game is available.

You mean: "a long corridor with interactive gameplay in some parts..."

The trend seems to be reaching to the part where playing the games will only require you to press 2 buttons: one to open the PC and the other to start the game.

If you already don't know this, this is how you can increase the loading.
This works %100! I didn't believe it myself.

I went from 40 seconds to loading between decks in the ship to 5 seconds.

Start the game. Goto task manager->processes>masseffect2>set affinity>disable one core?press okay> then re-enable the core.

Dramatic increase in loading. This seems to be a common issue with 3rd party U3 engine games.
