doubt there is any save limit.

There is a save limit.

I delete the old saves when i hit that limit.

this limit is 50 saves at one save slot or 50 different save slots?

You can save more than 50 times, there's just a limit to how many saves you can have at one time. I put the older saves into another folder for archiving and continued on.

after playing it for a couple of hours I guess it's OK. It's fun and the story is good so far but it's missing something the first one had. As much as the inventory system sucked in ME1, removing it was the wrong thing to do (imho). They should have modified it or streamlined it - FIXED it instead of removing it. The same with the skills. Some skills were never used but rather than remove everything along with any sort of customizability they should have just fixed it. There's no loot to speak of and the armor/weapon "choices" you get are pretty limited. Hell, I wish they would have went more in the direction of sci-fi Dragon Age clone and made it more RPG(ish) rather than some sort of hybrid. For me, they removed almost everything that made ME1 a blast.

That being said I'm still enjoying it for now. Don't know if I'll play it until finish though. And if I do, unlike the first one, I doubt I'll do any further playthroughs. Bioware certainly lowered any expectations I have for the third game though.

Well it's still ME, planet scanning is more realistic actually better then trying to search for minerals on a whole planet with a dune buggy lol, ammo addition as well, could have been more open I guess.

There is more to the skill system than meets the eye. Integrating any of your companions special abilities into your own skillset, for instance, essentially gives you more choice in how to play your chosen class. As for weapons and armor, to be honest I'm finding blueprints and researching them more enjoyable than sifting through the sea of useless items ME1 had.

awesome game i must say. better than ME1 in many ways though i must say it was more fun exploring planets on foot.
and also found i damn f***ing thing ..... it keep my CPU (AMD Ath64 X2 ~2,6GHz) at 100% Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad!!!! and because of that after a few hours of playing the game, my CPU overheats!!! damn

EDIT: is it just me or the caracters have lesser abilities ??? at least it seems that way. true, i'm near the begin of the game so it might just be possible for new skills to appear!

if your cpu overheats under normal usage and isn't overclocked you should take a look at your cooler.
any decently cooled cpu should be able to handle that without any issues.

Talk to companions about [UPGRADES] and you'll either get a Normandy ship upgrade or a prototype companion specific upgrade.

You can realocate your skill points for some minerals.

The lack of items is killing me, this is the weakest aspect of the game. Even a simple shooter has more weapon variety. This is a product of laziness, or they simply don't give a shit.

I really doubt you can do that. You're not playing Baldur's Gate III with hundred of skills/spells.

On a side note, mouse sensitivity is off the chart. LOW setting is a damn console joke. And this comes from a player that was using 1.2 sensitivity in Source powered (online) shooters.

And yea, sadly for me , ME2 IS a shooter.

So far I've not found a way to edit it manually in any config except the file located in x:\Games\Mass Effect 2\BioGame\Config\PC\Cooked\Coalesced.ini - and changing mouse settings. But that screws up my game with a masseffect2.exe fatal error.

Overall, a quality shooter not worth missing!

Yea, same here. I really didn't expect the "action" path/side of the game to go this low (or high eh...). Even STALKER SHOC is more enjoyable in this matter. It actually beats the crap out of it.

But yea, like I said, it's a great shooter. Smile

Umm i maybe missing something here, but there's plenty of weapons, yes maybe variants of just the basic 6, but still all have different traits and styles.

I really dont think its a grumble point, most Shooters people tend to stick to just 2 or 3 types of weapons and yeah use a new one when they get it, but always go back to their favourites.

As for your comments on laziness and not giving a shit, i really dont think thats the base at all, its your opinion, but mine differs that i think they hit the mark without over bloating it with weapons that never get used.

Which is in itself interesting as both ME and ME2 were billed as rpgs.
Somewhere along the lines EA's input has corrupted Bioware's product.
EA's PR drones got around this by attempting to re-write the definition of what IS a rpg.
Now they suggest that language and branched choice is what makes it an rpg and not the traditional elements.
I for one was not fooled, what we got was a shooter/adventure, a rpg without items, tactical combat and a multitude of skills?

Right...........................

i only ever found 2 weapons of each type (for example, starting smg and a better smg, and that was it), plus some prototype weapons (krogan shotgun, heavy weapons). if your class can only use pistols and SMGs and you can only pick between a shitty one and a good one it isnt much of a choice tbh Sad

I don't remember they advertised ME2, and ME1 for that matter, as traditional RPG. Is there some rule that RPG must have traditional aspects? Or are only RPG with DnD rules worthy to be called RPG?

For me, choices and their impact on story and world is most importnant RPG element. Not some stats. If there are stats like dexterity, strength and lots of skills it doesn't bother me, but I don't require this, in fact, I prefer the way it is in ME. That way player can focus more on story and immersion in game world, rather than clicking on + buttons next to the stats to make their build.

There is no reason to stick to decades old "traditional" RPG style. There will always be games that try to be oldschool, like DA:O. So what?

Meh the first one wasn't much of an RPG, this one is even less, but its still fun as hell. Much better than the first (which wasn't THAT great IMO).
