Yea. First thing I check on any game is if I can play it with friends.
Unless is a game like Planet Coaster, or Cities Skylines type, no MP = nope from me. I don't play many games without friends. And those I do (like the ones I listed) is because that I like that specific genre enough and no alternative with MP, I put up with it not having MP.

I'd honestly stop gaming if MP with friends ceased to exist in games. I might coast a month or two on the few SP games I like trying to cope, to in the end "This is boring" and find a new hobby.
Just the way I've always done it since my first dial up modem. Two of my best friends, that I play games with nearly daily for the last 20+ years, are ones I met playing games. One of them I talk to daily and game with, I have never met in person since 1998 when I met him. Dunno what he even looks like. (well I saw a pic of him on myspace like 15+ years ago once)
