Worth replaying it all ?? then playing this ??

Or nahhhh

Mass Effect is ALWAYS worth playing mate, always. Truly stunning game that earned each and every piece of praise and award it garnered. This is like "Mass Effect: Combat Evolved" Laughing

Besides, you're not only missing tons of back story (not fully explained in conversations on ME2, just hinted at) but a slew of nice bonuses from importing a finished character - as well as the continuity of playing as YOUR Shepard and not some assigned nonsense.

The level design just reminds a lot gears of war, filled with cover spots.... Sad

I liked more the old mass effect!

I´ll keep playing till the end, but the first one started much better.

I need Element Zero. Anyone has found any good planet for this resource yet? Given scanner UI there should be planets with Element Zero resources somewhere.

yeah compared to the first part loadings are way too long, at least for me, even console version has faster loading from the disk, it's very annoying, maybe disabling v-sync can help, which i'll try now

v-sync off=28 sec
v-sync on=40 sec, that's from quick load or main screen which is the same

on my other pc it's 16 sec and it has 8800gt in it Laughing , probably has something to do with mobo chipset or some driver

Just got Grunt. He's pretty cool. Going for Subject Zero now, even though I can't stand her from what I've seen in the trailers.

....

Look in the top-left corner, see the block of text and colours? You need to find an exact matching block in the scrolling list at the bottom. Once found, press SPACE. Rinse and repeat for the two following blocks. Don't try to move to one with a red X in it, firewall will dump you out and you have to start again.

That´s what i did, slammed space button (use/sprint/activate) a hundred times (default keyboards bindings)...but no success. Any skill needed? Does the char class matter?

After playing maybe 5 hours I must admit I like it more than ME1. Mass Effect was a good game, but I wouldn't name it among the best games I've played. This one is faster, some of the elements are cut, but it doesn't bother me in the slightest.
The shooter aspect is good, while in Mass Effect 1 it seemed like an afterthought. The locations aren't as sterile and empty as ME1, so that's a plus. The characters are more interesting than ME1, even though I haven't seen much yet (so it gets only better I assume). The dialogue is great, but I can't comment about the story yet. The graphics look better, but I guess that's normal since they had time to improve the engine. Voica-acting is superb, as is with every Bioware game (seriously why can't more developers get the VA right?). I don't miss the inventory, it was shit anyway. I like the upgrade ability, though some people might classify it as a gimmick.

What I do not like is the lack of weapon specialization. It added more depth to teh first game. What's also weird is the long loading time in the Normandy, loading is reasonably fast in missions.

Overall a good game, for me it's better than ME1 atleast. But I must admit I wasn't the biggest ME fan.

Edit: and Yvonne Strahovski is Miranda, weeeeeeeee!! She even looks like her a bit.

I did that exactly, of course, but the use (Spacer) Button didn´t mark any block, that´s my problem. It´s so weird, everybody must think i´m just too dumb. I can hit space x times in any non red box, but i never losse any of the three tries...

Well I'm having problems now, after 13hs of playing... maybe some kind of memory leak?
Dragon Age have a similar problem I believe.

The firsts hours were fine, but now it takes too long to load.

Even when I go to the "Group Info" (can't remember the name) on the computer it takes too long.

How do you do that?

set processor affinity to 0 or 1 in task manager, but this is bs solution coz my other pc is also dual core and loadings are fine

Yeah and I've played like 12hs without problems with my dual core, but now it's very anoying

Nothing works (didn't tried disabling 1 core yet) but I've closed the game and restarted the PC, the problem is still there Sad

Maybe is the game telling me that I need to sleep.

im enjoying it quite a bit, almost have my whole bunch of people recruited now. some gripes with the game though:
1) your 'alignment' affects your looks, my shepard looked like vin diesel in the 1st, in the 2nd one he started out as vin diesel but now he looks like the terminator with a damaged face (red eyes, scars that grow red all over the face), probably due to massive renegade points. have to go scan for 50k platinum i guess Sad
2) every time the illusive man calls you dont get a choice if you go do the mission right then or not. now i understand from a 'realism' standpoint that the missions he gives are urgent etc, but still, id like to finish off some of the stuff beforehand, because i have no idea when the endgame is coming around when i wont be able to do any of the companion quests anymore

manly scars like i chose in the first game would be awesome, but these make him look inhuman. so i have a choice of being some robot-man walking around hitting on women, which looks weird, or i can wear a full helmet and be recognized everywhere as shepard, which is even weirder. but, at least you get a cool robotic voice with the 'death mask' helmet Smile
