Funny how that patch was multi-5 supportive and still not integrated in this English release by now then, it's not a problem though if it's already included just a interesting observation.

Just love the way you look at games !

not even to mention when you come up with brilliant sollutions Very Happy

Haha, I'm very interesting in the underlying technology and any possible tweaks, this game seems to use the somewhat open Ogre3D engine but I don't know how possible it would be to modify any of it, seems there's many texmod solutions though like sharpened textures and clothing tweaks.

Also I like that they revamped the engine a bit with this latest patch with those additional shaders for lighting, really looks quite nice in comparins to before the update from the screens I've seen of the German edition. Smile

EDIT: Heh, thanks I'll do my best, I do learn quite a bit myself due to this and if I can help with something I do try to be supportive and friendly.
(I'm not a expert on everything of course, hacking actual files for example aside from basic stuff like hex editing certain things or understanding so called cracks whether it's a full copy protection removal or "simple" loader.)

You mean 1.02 patch I assume as that's what is mentioned in the nfo?

The 1.02 patch is standalone which is indeed included. I was talking about the main install.

There's this but similar to the authors Mass Effect and Divinity 2 modifications it's the base textures run trough a filter, might look somewhat better though.

EDIT: And well there's this of course for those interested in it.

Action RPG similar to Divinity 2, can't really compare both just like that however (Same publisher though but different developers.) from what I've seen combat begins pretty basic but there's probably skills and stuff to learn later on and there's a few different dialogue choices plus the underlying stuff like skills, abilities and such for RPG.
(Story seems interesting, voice acting could improve but it's decent compared to what usually happens, heh.)

Action part plays like The Witcher, RPG part is on ME1 level. You got 4 attributes, about 40 skills and a few weapon upgrades. And basic alchemy. And bullet time. And alternate reality. And a whorehouse Winkl

Don't use AA, especially do not use 4x AA with any filters like "Edge Detect" and/or "Adaptive AA" as that will hit performance severly, 2x looks fine though and runs quite good. Smile

Yes, if you put a mirror beside your screen its just like Beyond Good and Evil. Then you get a female playable char and a pig! Haha that was evil, sorry Wink Seriously, yes its a bit like BGE and any other 3rd person action rpg ever made. The switching between living and death worlds reminds a bit of Prey too, you know the paths you only see in special sight...

Some tips: Learn how to use the dynamic shortcut bar. Its a bit confusing first but very useful later in game. Think of it like the first 3 slots got a submenu if you activate it. This way you can have a weapon and a skill on 1 (and 2,3) at the same time but you have to select the field while not in the inventory and then move the stuff into it. Your secondary attack is the left most field in the bar, try to use a block/parade skill. Look at Scarlett´s hands while she swings the sword. Her hands glow at the point for a combo attack. And use combo attacks because they are most powerful against every enemy.

About the texture mod. Someone just run a sharpening or denoise filter in batch over all the dds textures. Its not really a must have.

Fixpack and optimizer pack, bit busy at the moment so I'll test them later, compatible with 1.02 (Thus the English version as well.)

You do have to roll around (Dodge.) a lot however but jumping would probably not work well at all, there's invisible walls everywhere so far although you can still explore the areas and there's quite a bit to find. Smile
(Using a standard leather armor now and some ancient sword after finding enough of these ducats to customize - form-fit that is - and purchase these plus a few quests, seems Venice itself will be the next destination which should be where the game opens up a bit more.)

Can't complain about the visuals either, character models and texture resolution could perhaps be better but the shader work as of 1.02 is very impressive compared to how it looked before.

Don't use AA as I previously mentioned (Especially if used 4x or higher with adaptive and shader modes like edge detect.), there's no profile for this game at the moment either so performance will be a bit sub-par. (You could try Oblivion.exe but it's not fully comparable.)
