Just opened Installous for the first time today and it seems to have had a bit of a overhaul! Looks totally different and seems faster for me. I like the screenshot tabs and the multiple side scrolling screenshots, which are reminiscent of iTunes. Good stuff! Smile

There's a version 3 but it serves a different purpose, the original creator has since split ways and intends his software for other uses...

Installous looks different now because Appulous is now gone, replaced by the brand new apptrackr. Smile

I'm using Install0us, didn't know there was a slightly different named version. Will check it out later, available on Cydia I assume?

Edit: Apparantly 0us is the better version and I just need to change my homepage Smile

Version 3.6 now on Cydia. Has some cool new features including the option to queue apps for downloading later! Smile

How do you disable the Safari DL plugin? I read somewhere that my downloads fail because of that, but have no clue how to disable. Confused

Either in Safari settings or through SBSettings, no?

that's bull... you prolly got the fail version of installous

make sure its from the hackulo repo
and also installl appsync
and download to desktop and use itunes

Yes, I installed from hackulo, both AppSync and Installous. But I want to download directly to the iFag, no reason why not. Will check SBS later.

I know its off-topic, but make sure to get LockInfo. That prog alone is worth jailbraking for!

yes, it's like droid ... you will see rss feeds, time ( -.-' ), weather forecast, sms, emails and a lot more thinks in your lockscreen.

It depends on what info you have. Obviously, if you let it refresh the weather every 5 minutes, it will suck your battery dry faster than a street hooker that sees a 5$ bill.

But I use it to keep track of new emails and statuses, everything in one place. And it also shows all the calender events, like birthdays and meetings. I found the implemented calender in the iphone more than lacking, especially if you wanted to be informed about upcoming events. This one helps out greatly Smile

Yeah, that's right, but was rather talking about some functions like free memory checking, battery checking or other hardware status checking that used to kill the battery fast on WM (SPB Shell & others) and on Iphone too (different lockscreen info software not this one) but I guess if LockInfo is so popular they managed to avoid such bugs.

i suggest iScheduler, i use it to put my iphone 4 in flightmode from 0:30am to 6:30am ...
give it a try to max. your batt. up time.

It's out for a few days, but I read reports from people having issues with this. They already released an update, but still it seems some people have problems. I'll wait until it is all done, no reason to change now, the old Installous works fine. Smile

Only bugs I've ever had is the app telling me odd update information, this has been across all versions that featured the update mechanic though... Otherwise, working fine for me. Smile
