If you are flashing to LT to be Live safe, couple of things to consider. The drive has to be an unflashed virgin drive. And then also you need a full dump of the fw before flashing to LT, else you will lose calibration data. For people with unbanned but previously flashed drives, LT really serves no purpose other than let you play all current Waves...

And if i never went online with my flashed drive and flash it to LT now?

well I dont know, its all speculation. One theory is if you had flashed to one of the previous firmwares that was detectable, then your console is probably storing all the data, and flashing to an LT is not going to remove that data. So you could still be banned...I read something about replacing the NAND but that can also be flagged...lol

now wait a second.. am i getting this right..?

c4e tried to build up a nice business concept around his LT in order to finally cash in on all the work. This was done by adding a key encryption to the firmware which would have required everyone to have his LT 'activated' by obtaining the adequate key for their console (=$). Eventually he send "demo versions" (?) to several partners/resellers in order to get his whole venture set up.
Then comes Geremia who somehow obtained a pre-release copy of the Firmware and isolates/removes the encryption feature and releases/leaks his modified LT to the public.

By then c4e's plan had of course been voided so the only option that he was left with in order to have his name on the new firmware was to go public with a LT firmware w/o the key encryption and call the previously leaked version fake/incomplete/unsafe. However by comparing the code Geremia showed that in fact it's pretty much the same and that in the actual LT RC there is even a "leftover" of the key-encrypting routine (laymanly spoken).

So in conclusion, Geremia, again, saved us all from paying for something which is supposed to be free.. still, to me the whole firmware-modification scene on the 360 is becoming more and more dislikable.. another reason to go all out and find a pre-june console Sad

C4e has every right to charge. He did a lot of the work.
Why people expect it to be free is anyones guess. The fact it is free, people should appreciate that more than moaning "oh fuck me, he wants 30 dollars, the cost of 1 game so I can pirate the shit out of everything else".

Anyhows, C4e hasn't said too much about the subject so its a lot of he said she said shit. Pointless imo.

so whats so special with this version since he wanted to cash in on it compared to the older ones besides the wave thing? I havent updated my firmware since 1.4 Very Happy still not banned though.

as long as m$ just changes the partitioning of the discs, you're right..

but as soon as they try and find a more sophisticated method to exclude modded drives from the latest games, we're screwed (w/o c4e and the likes).

Same goes for new drives and key-extraction (remember your next RROD is just around the corner Wink *knocks on wood)

compatibility with current wave(s) + super duper stealth mode and supposedly undetectable on XBL Rolling Eyes

I only though they had done some real groundbreaking stuff since they tried charging for it. The wave is good enough. I really laugh at that stealth thing. what release hasnt supposed to be 100% undetectable? Very Happy

why else could anyone be arsed to actually PAY for something they might as well get for free?
Just telll them (as a trusted authority in the field) that they could play their pirated copy online w/o risking a ban. factor in the average age of the 360 users and you get.. the perfect SCAM! Smile

i mean even if c4e HAS found every check m$ currently does.. how hard can it be for them to mismatch their original fw with the LT in order to create new checks which they can easily distribute through mandatory console updates..
the scene always used to be like "once you flashed you're never gonna be on the safe side,, deal with it or leave it alone" and this sounded like a mature prospect. Now, team executor ($$) appear as the new voice of c4e suggesting that with LT we're eternally safe to play online...?

team executer is IMO just a bunch of greedy pigs. They have always overcharged for stuff, and I am sure they are mighty pissed right now, that Geremia cut off a lucrative revenue stream by leaking the LT.

Really? I'd pay for the service if it wasn't obvious it was coming free. If there was no other way, then fine. I've pay for mod chips before, its no different. In what way is that hypocritical?
