Well playing as marine looks quite good and I guess playing around with the mentally challenged marines as alien or predator could be fun. Looking forward to see how the game turns out.

Some people here are far too optimistic and enthusiastic.

I'd be happy with the way they did it in AVP2, chomp some suckers face off after a kill to get your health back.

As far as I was aware, that's exactly how it's done in this game too - so I'm waiting on a source from Neon as to the other method.

After watching it again perhaps I was wrong, but around 2:30 you can see that he is almost dead, he kills a guy and then firstly his life starts to regenerate (well, obviously) but as he gets on the ceiling his life still slowly regenerates until he reaches full health. It may be because of the difficulty (Normal) 1 kill= full health? I dunno, sorry for any confusion.

That's (partially) what happens in AVP1 and 2 as well, when you kill an enemy - you get your health back. If you swipe at an enemy corpse, you gain small amounts. If you head-bite someone, you gain a MASSIVE amount. However, in the first two games it was instant health boost, perhaps in this one it's gradual instead?

Yup, Aliens drain life with attacks, as they don't have the medi-comp or medkits that predators or marines do.

TBH, the Predator of AVP2 was quite invulnerable. Kill some enemies, if hurt, use health syringe, wait for power to regenerate.

So, how are trophy-kills from the front handled? If I understand it correctly, a properly timed melee attack from a marine can save them, right?

Wait for... what? Just use the Energy Extractor. Instant full enemy at the low cost of "being seen" Oooooh. |
I always loved playing stealth with the Predator.

This game is gonna be perfect for LAN games, with the marines vs single predator gamemode.

SEGA's revealed three Aliens vs. Predator pre-order deals for the UK - one each for GAME, HMV and Play.
Play's bagged codes to unlock new looks for characters. There's the Serpent Hunter skin for Predators, Sergeant Kaneko skin for Marines and Number 6 skin for Aliens. Pre-order price is £39.99 on consoles, £17.99 for PC.
GAME's been awarded the Survivor Edition of Aliens vs. Predator. This offers steel-book packaging and four multiplayer maps: docks, outpost, machine and hive. Pre-order price is £54.99 on consoles, £34.99 on PC.
And HMV's scooped the biggy: the Hunter Edition. This includes a replica facehugger alien model, Weylund-Yutani fabric badge, 3D lenticular postcard and those four maps plus steel case. Pre-order price is a surprising £59.99 on consoles, £39.99 on PC.
Might as well get the facehugger.
Aliens vs. Predator will be released on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on 19th February.
