and LULZ its only again used on smoke and particle lights
lmao they're using the 360 controller even in the PC video
It's a console port. I want to see you play Devil May Cry 4 with Keyboard + Mouse
There are games that are simply meant for a gamepad. Not saying this is one of those, but since it's from Capcom...
I have palyed DMC 3 and 4 with Keyboard, and its easy, dont see why is for some ppl so hard to play some games on K+M (ah yes, console n00bzz )...only games i play with gamed is SF4, and NFS Shift...all others games Key+Mouse

well..you just gave me idea..you said NFS..with g-pad..so i was thinking about using one of the sticks to switch shifts
i like to move the car with the keyboard and i can configure the stick on the gamepad to be the gear (i usualy drive automatic gear lol..but to switch shifts with the stick should be intresting:) ,anyway i guess i am not the first to think of it, but didn't think of it befor this post lol...also i have the 360 pad only one year.
so..i guess i will download the nfs shift after all....i am not big fun of racing games..i prefer combat racers, but this genre is poor with titles:(

Im playing it with gamepad, just because i don't use it in any other game except NFS and SF4

What are you saying is surely right, but since this game uses the Unreal Engine 3, I expected the controls to be as good as those seen in BatmanAA, Stranglehold, Mass Effect, GoW or any other UE-powered 3rd person game ported on PC.
I thought Capcom uses his own inhouse engine, MT Framework (Used in every X360/PS3 era games, like RE5, DMC4, SF4, LP, etc), so no real reason for them to license UE3...
And it really depends on the game indeed. Lost Planet has very good controls when using K&M, but the same can't be said about RE5, where the mouse feels really clumsy...
i just finished the demo...very very short, but what can i say..was fine..average..nothing special . but still ok..i hope the gameplay will not be reapet of the same.

Uh huh. And were you able to S-rank it like that?
What about games needing analogue control? It's just ridiculous to think that KB+M is the absolute end-all, be-all for EVERYTHING. Taking it beyond gaming, it's like, what about people who prefer to do digital art with a tablet, rather than a mouse? Do they get looked down on too because "zomg tablet is for console baby noobz"?

Yes, MT Framework is Capcom's in-house engine, but they have so far only used it for their in-house games. Dark Void isn't in-house; it was developed by an external, independant studio, Airtight Games. Oh, and by the way, SF4 didn't use MT Framework, either. It seems like a lot of people don't know this, but Capcom didn't develop SF4 internally (though they did strictly oversee and produce the game); it was actually developed by Dimps, who built their own custom engine for the game.
Says 19th on Steam and Gamersgate so it'll probably be released tomorrow, might see a leak today then as it's probably available in stores now (Shipped to stores earlier, some do sell before the release dates so a leak is possible, depends on protection, might be SecuROM, unsure what Capcom uses now and what the studio behind this game went with if they had any saying about it.)

waiting only for the pc because the PS3 version has horrible texture load problems and the xbox360 has none texture load problems but awful pop-ups and v-sych problems brrrrr
The physx effect are going to trash the game without a dedicated card...
That's so lame.
Might aswell throw my 8800GTS in as dedicated physx for playing this.
EDIT: Saying that, the game does look loads better with the physx in this vid..
Still though...the cost of it is stupid!

The "Apex" stuff (System for those particle effects and advanced cloth and such like - http://physxinfo.com/news/1678/mafia-ii-to-use-physx-powered-clothing/ .) is pretty demanding (30.000 individual accelerated particles for that disintegrator gun and 100K for that smoke stuff.) but it does look stunning, makes sense though that NVIDIA would try to push PhysX even further now (Compete against Havok 5.x and whatever AMD might make of "Bullet") and the so called Fermi line of cards (They even discontinued several previous models like the high-end 200 series cards.) certainly has the power in it to utilize this revision fully.
(The so called super sledge tech demo used to show off PhysX and Fermi and other showcases of what will probably be PhysX 3.0.0, this current thing being 2.8.2 or maybe 2.8.3 via runtime 9.11.112 or something like that, hehe.)
That said the smoke and disintegrator gun are optional and the "low" quality PhysX mode can be enabled without it from the looks of that preview article (At a FPS hit of course.) but some other effects are downplayed a bit as well. (Still it leaves stuff like debris, impact sparks and some other things.)
Out on Gamersgate and probably Steam as well, SecuROM, unsure if the disc version also uses activation but it'll probably be cracked soon seeing other SecuROM titles and when they get "released".
EDIT: Installed, definitively UE3 and DX9 only. (No UE3 shader files for DX10.)
EDIT: INI files can be customizable (Not coded in any way.) to for example alter game settings or remove logo videos.
EDIT: NVEffects=3 in SkyGame.ini should enable full PhysX along with setting the turbulence value above it to 1.
EDIT: In SkyEngine.ini there's also a bPhysXWeaponEffects setting and bAllowApexTurbulence setting (True or False)
EDIT: To remove the logo movies just rename them, they're in the \nativePC\SkyGame\Movies folder.
EDIT: Framerate on the first two levels ranged between 70 to 180 (No PhysX or forced AA obviously.)
EDIT: Some screens. (Imageshack posted them in reversed order.)

How could you forget the cloth?
hehe, saying that those effect really did add to the feel of the game.

The whole thing screamed average to me from the last videos I've seen, I honestly didn't see what the hype is all about, UE3, average shooting mechanics, badly implemented flying mechanics, should've taken all the hints that it's a 6/10 at best
