Yeah it does use Starforce3.
I have this preordered - I can't wait to finally get it. It's a shame the UK has to wait a couple of days more. Hopefully the combat multiplayer patch will be out by then.

you don't have a cd driver? lol, in modern days like this I tought everyone has it, even a slow one.
I think the game will be cracked like Desert rats was, it will be long and painful but it would be done in the end.

Damn it! Looks like a decent game yet why the hell would I buy it when my friends would also have to as well to enjoy it? The point is to share among ourselves but right now logistically they're not gonna buy one game we may/may not play for awhile. Further to this, once I told them that some current games are secretly installing malware protection in the device manager that totally turned them off. DON'T BLAME THEM ONE BIT!!!!
THIS IS FRICK'N FRUSTRATING and I really hate to think the Publishers are winning this crap!
I AM TOTALLY UNBELIEVABLY SHOCKED THAT THE WORLD COMMUNITY OF CRACKERS AND THINKERS HAS NOT BANDED TOGETHER TO CRACK THIS SHIET!?!?! WE'RE A GLOBAL COMMUNITY!!!!! We're, as a whole, smarter because we have many more minds and ideas working on it. IS THE SCENE SO DAMAGED SINCE EARLY APRIL? NOONE WILLING TO PICK UP THE TORCH AND START RUNNING WITH IT?
I would have thought 2-3 months of going underground would be sufficient to blow the storm over. At least create a group, keep it super-secret, examine the BS protection schemes coming out, and try to evolve with them. ITS ALL A CHALLENGE and AN ADVENTURE! Isn't that what cracking is: about circumventing for fun? For your release group for prestige? Damn this is getting bad.
Something in the scene has mortally-wounded everything that was near-perfect. I don't get it: scene has ALWAYS survived based on people running off where others have stumbled. Now its as if a) all the talent got scared off b) noone cares for some reason c) its no more fun... Bahhh!!! x 150 !

I think the crackers simply are not good enuff to crack starforce 3... there was a few starforce 3 games cracked but starforce3 changes VERY fast.....
We cant blame publishers.. they r only doing there job... ALTHOU.. installing starforce shit on your computer is just a bit crappy and arse.
This game wont be cracked atleast not for a few months.. or untill rlz groups learn how to crack starforce3... think toca3 people.....
Games like desert rats vs afrika korps had like a few files protected.. but it seems these new games have thousands of files protected.. so yar its a bit different..
But in the bottom line.. Groups dont know how to crack starforce3... but no doubt they r trying there asses off i guess
And lol at BoZo_ not having a cd drive hehehehhehe lol

Yeaa.. thanks for the little bit of reassurance. Hitman2 used to be the record for the longest time a game wasn't cracked (2 weeks). Then BS StarCrap3 shows up in Nov'03 in TRACKMANIA and it takes 2 months to crack it BUT NO CRACKED UPDATES! Aghhhh! This was a sign of sh*t to come.
DAMN!!!!! I still can't fathom why the best coders/crackers haven't written tools to evolve with this scheme? Yes the protection changes but there has to be a pattern to it and since the devs design the game without protection there must be a way to un-protect it? Guess the devs and loser-ass protection company knows that.
I know this sounds kinda "gay" but if I could, I would create a PC cracker-only group of individuals specifically tasked to circumvent this BS and put those c*cks outta business! I NEVER LIKE THE FEELING OF LOSING TO THIS ONCE THE SCENE WAS THRIVING! Losing to protection schemes never seemed to dissuade new talent from stepping up and working to overcome the industry's greatest BS.
Its futher sad that both Alcohol 120% and CloneCD have not been able to release new code to bypass this utter trite! I would have expected MUCH MORE from them. ALL THIS REALLY CONCERNS ME!
Think about it: you've been getting games for free for, what, forever. Then something comes along and stops it - period. Then you find out it installs crap on your computer yet you want to play REAL BAD! Then yer friends want to play it all together but logistically you can't share it as not everyone in your group will buy thus you'll get people who "dive in" and buy it. ONCE YOU HAVE FREE U CAN'T GO BACK especially in large groups of friends. Game won't get adopted except in the hardcore players of us. Even then, likely only 1 of the 8 will buy.
SUCH A BLOODY PI*SER.. I'd just love to drop-kick the CEO of the protection company and the publishers who use them. Bi*ches the lot of 'em! Forcing the customer to not only use the CD in the drive but copy malware device driver crap as well!

I knew this thread would turn into yet another starforce3 discussion. Everyone knows starforce3 isn't going to be cracked soon so stop going on about it. Try the demo and if you like it, buy it. The "scene" is meant to be for people to try games before they buy them anyway and not so you can get your greedy hands on every game that has ever been produced without forking out a penny.
BTW, thudo, you talk as if the publishers are wrong to protect their games. It seems pretty sensible to me to use the most effective protection in order to stop as many people just downloading it. They are making these games for profit - not for you to enjoy for free. I'm sure the CEO of the publishers would love to drop-kick thieving bastards like you who probably have never paid for a game in their life and, to be honest, I couldn't blame them for it.
Anyway, back on topic...
Has anyone got a copy of this game yet and can give us their first impressions? I'd like to know what the coop mode is like.

Well I must admit that "I'm happy to be a freeloader"! Yep.. plain and simple. If I could do something for the community I would. I love contributing to something I believe in especially when its in regards to going against "the system". As for the CEO having a remote chance of drop-kicking me: Wow.. that would be hard when the competition is 6'9" and full of muscle. He could try the scrunny little boardroom suit! His Beamer could do some damage but against my modest car he'd be having a worse day then me! hA!

I've had free and I go back to paying whenever I get money and if it's a good game I'll wait until I can afford it.
Anywho, biked my ass off to go get the game a few towns away only to find out it's coming tomorrow. Least it got my lazy ass out of the house I guess hehe.
